  1. Odd that this came out right after Flabaliki's...then again, I guess his wasn't the first one either, just the first recolorable one I saw.

  2. hmmm Is it just me or is it strikingly close/similar to the one that came out at MTS the other day :/

  3. "strikingly close/similar"

In gosik's defense, it's just a half-wall...not too much variety you can add, really. I agree with you both that it's a little weird that they came out in such a short period of time, though.

  4. Seriously, how often does TSR come out with something nearly identical to an earlier download at MTS? It's a little ridiculous.

  5. Bet they download and check out the resources to make their own. Just an observation.

  6. They look nearly identical. I just used Flabaliki's, oddly similar.

  7. Eh, I trust Flabaliki's more anyway. I've got all of his/her fences in my game and they all work like a charm. :)

  8. I wouldn't dl one from TSR anyways. I bet they just copied Flabaliki's. How typical.

  9. "his/her"

    Flabaliki's a guy. ;)

Check out his site, the tutorials are great.

  10. Um, actually, not to sound all defensive of TSR, but this has been in the Coming Soon queue for a while. There is also another half wall at TSR that came out before Flabaliki's. I actually started making one myself a while ago which I've never finished - it's not a hugely original idea. Anyway, they are all different heights, so I think they complement each other well. :)

  11. I'm pretty sure it's just coincidental it came out a little while after the one at MTS.

  12. ^ I'm sure it is. It happens a lot, though.

  13. LOL. Yes, I'm sure it was coincidental all those times it happened for TS2 as well.

  15. will anyone be nice enough to tell me where i can find this in the game? ive looked at every buyable object i have like 4 times and i still cant find it........

  16. ^ It's a fence, just like it says, so it's in the build catalogue.

And speaking of both "remarkably similar Flabaliki/TSR creationsm as well as Shakeshaft, compate:

Not identical, I know, but...disturbingly similar. It can probably just be chalked up to similar EA match sets, but why do these always seem to be an MTS-first, TSR-next sort of thing? Seems sketchy if you ask me.

  17. I think that Flabaliki has upload his as Sims3Pack file. Ha! Free and S3P. Got it over them!

    *fingers in ears, singing nah-nah*

    :P

  18. Oops, just seen the Gosik ones. It's free too. Haha!

*takes fingers out ears so I can type*

  19. TSR is a sketchy kind of place. One time is coincidental-- once you start getting into the double digits, it stops being a coincidence.

The same thing happened with the completer build sets in TS2. A free creator posted theirs on MTS, and not long after, identical sets would pop up on TSR.

Who wants to take bets on the odds that it'll keep happening?

  20. i can't use this b/c i don't have the update yet. still too scared to do it

  21. ^lol

i'm sorry but that's silly. just back your stuff up and do it. the absolute worse thing that will happen is that you'll have to reinstall, and if you have your stuff backed up, you're golden at that point.
