  1. I was so hoping that the lies of religion would not follow me through my sims fetish...apparently that's not how it's going to work out.

  2. Er... just don't download them if you don't like them, flobi.

  3. Huh. While I agree that flobi's comment seems a bit extreme, I can't really see these fitting into my game, since I like to think of the Sims as its own little separate world. :) These are very well made, though.

You can escape it by glossing over this entry or by not downloading it. Seriously, no one is putting a gun to your head to force you to download something you don't like, but you do not have the right to try to tell creators what they can or cannot make and by saying that you were hoping you could escape religion, you are trying to tell creators not to make and release religious stuff. Get over yourself.

  8. Wow... really? Different people have different tastes... if you can't deal with that then I feel very sad for you.

Uh, chill out? The Sims is primarily a fantasy world. For the most part, they do a good job of leaving out real-world connotations. I have no problem with people making religious stuff for their game, I'm simply commenting that religion is everywhere, now even in Sims games. Don't tell me what I'm saying, /I'm/ the one who said it.

If you want to put this stuff in your game, more power to you. I won't, and that's fine too. I'm not saying "DEATH TO ALL KRISTIANZ!!!1one!!1" I'm just remarking that religion is indeed everywhere (obviously, as displayed by this CC), even for those looking to escape it. That's all. So don't try and tell me that I'm telling creators not to make it, because I know what I said and I know what I meant, and your inference is not it.

And to the sarcastic other anon, one could reasonably argue that religion is the worst thing ever. But that's another debate.

  10. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Personally, I am religious and I like to give my sims a sort of religious background.. whether they're Christian or Jewish or Buddhist or whatever. For example, I made a Hassidic Jewish sim to roam around in my pleasant little suburan coastal town. I like it because it adds diversity to an otherwise boring place.

Anyways, these pictures are excellent for a Coptic church I was planning on building in Al Simhara.

Also, if anyone is reading this, someone needs to make Hindu bindi forehead mark and a Buddha statue.

  11. To each his own yes? You don't like don't download.

I don't care if some hate religion or what ever the case might be. Doesn't bother me in anyway. I know where my faith is placed.

On topic of the pictures, they are nice for a church... I consider myself a religious person but I couldn't put these in my Sims homes. I'd feel bad becuase of all the sinful things that go on in my sims home! rotfl. XD

YOU are the one who was freaking out and boohooing about not being able to escape religion in your poor little Sims world. Religion of some sort is just about everywhere. If you want to escape it, live in some remote location as a hermit or get rich enough to buy your own island. It's stupid to whine about how you can't escape religion on a post about something you have no intention on downloading. You know what I do when I don't find something to my taste, I don't download it and I sure don't leave comments whining about it. It's quite simple.

  13. " For the most part, they do a good job of leaving out real-world connotations."

Are you serious? Except for the fantasy-themed Sims, worlds, Simlish, and items, MOST custom content implements real-world connotations.

There is an abortion clinic mod, shooting mod, drinks mod, and even a prostitute mod. There are 1000s of paintings, hairs, clothes, furniture sets, etc that are also based off real life objects. There are even movie posters from Twilight, Avatar, and several others.

You're full of it. You have a problem with this because it happens to be a real world connotation you are NOT fond of, but I bet you have no problem using items with real world connotations that you DO like. Stop with the flimsy arguments.

  14. Youre all losers, the one anon said a one liner agreeing with flobi and you all flipped the fuck out, get a fucking life. Wah wah wah, poor wittle Jesus and the sinners bitching about him. Grow upppp.

  15. These paintings, and the painting TNW came out with which mys3b removed the ability to comment on because of haters is not in your face Christianity so I don't see what the problem is. It's aesthetically pleasing artwork, that's all that matters. I can understand if it said something like "Sinners! Repent!" in simlish or something, but it's not like that. These types of things should be appreciated for their artwork, you don't have go ZOMG! It's Christian on every Christian artwork posted here, that's just childish.
