XCAS core mod: more tattoo locations, edit naked outfit, and more by CmarNYC

What it is:

XCAS is a CORE mod. It is not compatible with any other core mod, like AwesomeMod or Extended Game Core. However, there are some packages included that can be used without the core mod component.

What it does:

Core mod packages--

-- Adds many more tattoo locations
-- Teens can have tattoos
-- Optionally, you can edit the naked outfit in the dresser "Plan Outfit" game function
-- Increases the number of facial sliders the game can use from 20 to 60
-- Optionally, increases the facial slider range by 2 times or 4 times

'Extras' packages that can be used with or without the core mod--

-- Optionally, expands the skin tone picker panel
-- Optionally, increases the body slider range by 2 times. (Fat/thin, fit, and breast size)
-- A package that enables a few base game accessories for the naked outfit
-- A package that lets you tattoo naked (With the sim naked, not you. :D)

  1. I wish it wasn't a core mod, as there's no way I'm giving up Awesome Mod for more tattoo locations, and Teens tattooable. Too bad, because that'd be super. Maybe it'll be added to Awesome mod one day.

  2. ^I agree. More tattoo locations would be great but I need AM more than that.

  3. Wonder if it would class with the master controller mod facial slider hacks and body hacks......grrr....i hope the creator can make this a non core mod.

  4. Instead of just having packages that increase the facial slider range by 2 times or 4 times, why not include one that offers 3? 3 is what I see most people using anyway and 4 causes weird distortions to happen.

  8. Am I the only person who stops reading when they see "THIS IS A CORE MOD"?

Awesomemod is the core mod of choice. Nobody is going to give it up for something like this. More tattoo locations are nice, but it's kinda absolutely horrible that you have to deal with sims in a non-stop "oh god a vampire!" and "Oh god a simbot!" loop just to use them.

  9. I honestly don't use AwesomeMod, as whenever I use it, my game lags even WORSE than usual! So, I'll be downloading this. :)

  10. So, can I still use the woohoo mod from Twallen and his master controller to edit in CAS? Forgive me I am not that tech savvy.

  11. Yes you can use all of twallans mods with this mod. i have them all in my game right now.

not every one uses awesomemod shivar. dont get me wrong its a great mod but for some people it's just way too advanced.

  12. no shivar, awesome is the core mod of YOUR choice. not everyone uses it. I certainly don't use it, don't need it, and don't want it.

  13. ^ Leave Shivar alone in the particular instance, because I couldn't have said it better. If you knew what is actually fixed by AM you would use it, although I have noticed those that say they don't want it just can't figure out how to use it properly. It isn't difficult if you read how to properly install it & maintain it. Anyone that currently uses AM, to fix all the garbage borked by EA, would never give it up for another core mod for tattoos.

I will check out the non core objects and see if I like them.

  14. ^Yeah, but a lot of people do use AM. So it's the core mod of MANY people's choice. All of which find this mod mostly useless because of it.

  15. There is NRaas's conversion of The MasterController (not Core-Mod).

  16. I used to use AM, but I hate how it corrupts your save if you decide to remove it later on, I have backups of my saves of course, but it's a bitch to lose even a minimal amount of progress.

  17. Since there are many of us who use Twallans mods rather than AM, the mod is NOT useless. Geesh, get over the AM worship.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No, this mod certainly isn't useless, AM gets into too many game files for my liking, it changes too much about the game, I like fixes, AM is only for people who want to play The Sims 3 Pescado's way.

I would love to use this mod, but I avoid all core mods, they tend to make patching a bitch.

  19. "I like fixes, AM is only for people who want to play The Sims 3 Pescado's way."

Exactly. I like that Pescado fixes a lot of EA's screwups, but not everything in Awesomemod is optional and I don't like some of the things Pescado forces upon you because it's his game-style or views.

  20. ^ TY! Exactly the reason I don't use it. I dont want anything forced upon me. That is why I don't want, need, or use AM.

  21. Well, the AM discussion isn't relevant anymore anyway, since Twallan added an optional file to go with Master Controller than adds the additional tattoo locations. So now those of us who use AM can also have more tattoo slots.

  23. People are not grasping the point. The mod is not useless for everyone. If you use AM, it is. A lot of people use AM. This mod is useless for them. That is all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^ Hey dipshit, you are not grasping the fucking point that all that most of us said was it was only useless for those of us using AM. No one said it was useless for the rest of the sims population, so get your head out of your ass now.

Thanks ShortyBoo for the update. I miss the old MS3B that would update us on stuff like that instead of just crappy, borked hairs.
