  3. The license plate may not be in simlish, but this certainly is the next best thing. Thank you for finally making a sims-oriented, non-real-world-based license plate for your vehicles.

Great job on the truck too. :)

Really? Why would you make a big deal out of a license plate? The rest of the words aren't simlish. I guess you want those translated as well.

    Moving on.

I'm going to go ahead over to download this. I need a new truck. The EA one is...total shit. Thank you for another great looking vehicle!

EXACTLY. Why only bitch about the license plate being Simlish? Why not bitch about the brand name of the vehicle being in Simlish, too?

Also, the "LICENSE PLATE NOT IN SIMLISH" people ALWAYS come out on Fresh Prince's posts, but even if you only go back a week's worth of posts, there are TONS of creators who have non-Simlish custom content and I don't see the same bitching there (if they are popular creators). So it's pointless to bitch about something as small as a license plate (and that you'll only see for a short while anyway) when there are bigger pieces of custom content like artwork that are in English and you don't bitch equally about them.

  6. I wouldn't even have noticed any license plates on any sim vehicle if that person hadn't said something. I didn't know it was important. Sims's names aren't in simlish either. The gravestones are not simlish. The lot names aren't in simlish. The names of books in the bookstores are not in simlish. I could go on and on. My question is why is it a big deal?

  7. ^Because some people just like to have something to nitpick about. You make a lot of good points. Never understood why people want real world cars in-game, but then get all bent out of shape because he uses *gasp* real-world license plates to go with them.

Besides, I remember when he didn't use to include plates at all, but lots of people on MTS requested that he start using real-world license plates. Now we have idiots whining about that. I would not keep bending over backwards to please people. Keep doing what YOU want, FP.

  8. Wow... all four of the above anons all sound like the same person (probably is). How much can one cry, whine, and fuss over someone simply pointing out something they LIKED about a license plate. The 3rd comment was very polite and TO THE POINT. Talk about idiots nitpicking, ranting and making a big deal over stupid crap. If somebody prefers simlish and they aren't annoying about it, WHO CARES. Lives. Get some.

Nice car, FP. And I'll also DARE say it, I like the non-real-world Sim City license plate very much. :)

  9. ^ Agreed. I guess times are tough and not having a job, girlfriend, life etc etc leaves people bored and waaaaaaaaay too irritable. So now they sit on the internet and have a nervous breakdown over the slightest thing. In this case, rushing to a creator's "defense" over a harmless comment, not even realizing that person was simply complimenting a creator's work. BTW I love this license plate too.

Times have changed. The simlish fans are now the intelligent, mature, level-headed people. lol

I'll gladly answer that for you as the answer is pretty obvious. While you can surely go on and on, not ONE of those things you mentioned is modeled/meshed/textured INSIDE the game world. Any letters/characters physically displayed on EA-made base-game (and EP) objects is always in Simlish. The ***only*** time you see English in TS3 is in the UI (aka menu interfaces, text overlays). If that wasn't in English (or your other native languages), nobody would be able to play the game very well. Simple common sense.

I'm not saying I prefer either way, but I perfectly understand why these English plates (and English make and model) might go against the grain for some. As far as it being a "big deal", it's not. Those here flipping out saying "OMG Simlish plates are stupid and anyone who would want them in a big dummy!!" seriously need to calm down. We all have our own tastes, none being more "valid" than the next. Let's just accept that and call it a day.
