LOL Yes I made sure they weren't as scary this time... I do listen to criticism... Most of the time :P ;) Just wanted to add that on the male Sim the forehead is a bit shiny because of my Pores are added as make-up.
Okay, I don't know about everyone else above me, but I'm not a suck-up from C-Styles (no offense, C-Styles members) and I've actually tried it out in-game before my post. This skin (as most others do) definitely has a few flaws:
For one, I, personally, do not like the pores; the reason why is because the pores seem to only be present on the forehead and cheeks, with the skin around the jaw, chin, and nose remaining completely smooth. Because of its inconsistency, as well as the highly noticeable difference between porous and non-porous parts of the skin, I think it would be better to make them less prominent or just remove them completely. In my opinion, the pores, as they are now, make the skin look really blotchy, especially on pale skintones, which is what I'm currently using as reference.
Another issue I see is the shading, especially around the eye sockets, nostrils, and the outer curve of the face (which probably serves the purpose of making the face more defined), leading toward the mouth; the color of the shading has too much red, I think, and it's too dark on the side of the face, going from the eyes to the cheekbones. Additionally, because of the redness, it gives the appearance that a Sim without any makeup whatsoever is wearing a dark pinkish eyeshadow, which especially looks odd on the males. And when compared to the color of the shading, other areas on the face (such as the forehead and the space between the lower eyelids and the cheekbones) have the appearance of being slightly yellow-ish.
Lastly, it's very subtle in Shyne's pictures (especially on the darker-skinned model, but it's a little more visible on the outermost corner of the redheaded model and on the male model), but on most of my Sims, I see a very prominent pink/purple line along the ridge of the lower eyelid; it's close enough to the eye to look like eyeliner, but too prominent to make it look natural, and you can't cover it up with makeup. I personally think it should be removed.
I also think the nostrils could be a little more defined, but I've noticed that Shyne likes her noses "pudgy" (I wouldn't call them that, but that doesn't matter), and I imagine it's intended for them to look as they are now.
With all that said, I do think that Shyne did pretty good on making the lips look nice and smooth. The tear ducts also look pretty nice (though I don't know about the placement of them). And the crease of the upper eyelid looks good, too, though I would make try to make it less prominent going toward the inner corner of the eye.
It's not a bad skin, but it could certainly use some improvements. Good job nonetheless, Shyne.
I can't say it any better than the person up there...I found odd shadings and a yellowish hue on the foreheads and purpleish under the eyes. I don't hate the skins, but if I were to use them I would have to adjust the makeup on all my favorite sims in order to hide the discolorations and built in eye bags.
Yeah just wait for later versions, this is only version 1 and doesn't even come with a body. As for being imperfect... well yes. I hope it IS imperfect, because imperfect is more real than a doll. I certainly don't have perfect shading on my face, although I do agree with the colours and such mentioned above. And I do admire constructive criticism. I know how long you spent on that post and reviewing my skin for me, thank you so much :)
Unfortunately... I knew what flaws this skin had before I posted it. The thing is... there are so many other skins out there, how can I make a skin 'me', without it looking like a little disaster area (like my first skin lol). I am still trying to ensure the shading, shadows and colours all match up. It's difficult... Something I do need to work on. And I agree about the tear ducts. I was going to change them for version 2. I'll see what I can do with this baby.
Oh and you're wondering about the pore placement? Well... on all the reference pictures I used, those were the only pores visible lol So those were the only pores available to slap on my faces. I'll see if I can overlay some more, because you're right. Pores are all over the face, not just in 2 places lol

super close up shots of shyne's sims and they don't look scary. rare. or maybe that's how good her skin tone is. either way she improved. good job.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Shyne, all of your sims look uniquely lovely IMO. And this skin looks great, too! TY for sharing! :-D
I love your creations and use them a lot, Shyne but I am not sure about the smooshed nose look, lol. It's interesting to say the least. :)
I, for one love it Shyne! :D Gorgeous work as always. Your skins are the best out there (I think) ;)
Absolutely gorgeous , as usual! Thankyou so much, Shyne :D x

^ Also, presentation's looking a lot better, Shyne. Very nice.
^Now THAT is what you call constructive criticism.
^ Thanks, anon. I intended it to be helpful and not overly criticizing (which is why I'm posting again -- I'm not aiming to hurt anyone's feelings).
Meh... People're probably going to assume we're the same person.

It doesnt look that bad, but I would want to download an *upgraded* version of it. BTW Shyne what CAS camera do you use?

Oh, and what do you mean by CAS camera? I use the normal one :)
This is a nice skin, but shyne's sims scare the poop outta me
I love that black sim. Cute skin!
I noticed there are a lot of shadows on the faces. To me it looked like dirt or bruising on the face.
I love this skin tone, it's very realistic! Also, where are the eyes from? Are they contacts?
They look so real o,o it's kind of scary. I'll try it ingame tho, it looks gorgeous :)
This is a nice skin, but I HATE the fat cheeks. It's almost impossible to work with.
