The thing about retexturing is that it will NEVER be easy from the start. You can have great textures, but it ultimately boils down to presentation and reputation.
People have to like to look at what you've made, and you have to establish yourself as someone who makes quality retextures consistently. The first is easy if you're good with an image editor and taking previews in game; the second just takes time, and quite a lot of it at that.
Thanks Metalmoose! I can't believe I have been two of my favourite Sims 3 contributors are giving me so much inspiration and support! Thanks you guys soo much!
No. If we are talking Peggy or Newsea it's the original textures that always suck. The retextures are the only thing saving these hairs. Otherwise they would be downright unusable. I don't know about you, but my hair doesn't look like Christmas tinsel with burnt ends.
Sometimes I actually like originals. I don't look for something that looks like real hair. I have real life to look at real hair. I might be one of the few who like my sims to look like dolls, not alive human beings. It all boils down to personal preference, in most cases. Thank you for this texture, though. Good job.

Uh no. Newsea's textures are good while Peggy's is only good with a few more recent pay hairs. Most hair doesn't look that lifeless or with a playdo kind of texture as well.
Plus retextures can also be very unusable as many of them look like the retexturer just threw on the same exact pooklet's texture they always use without a second thought to make it fit well for hair or even make their own texture.
Not really. This is a good retexture. The suck retexture come from that silly cake and, especially, metalmooch, who keep sucking even it has been around 6 months since he started to do retexture.

Disagree. They are way too shiny for my tastes, and the black roots ruin it every time. I much prefer "flat and boring" then. To each his own.
Having now seen and used it in the game, this is my favorite of the retextures done on this hairstyle. The others aren't bad, mind you. This one is best, imho :) Well done!

Looks like playdough, yo.
Very flat.....
Every retexture is starting to look the same
Some parts are good, like the roots, but others look very... playdough, like the first anon said.
Maybe it's how I presented it, if would like more close shots just ask, and I will also colour the hair to darker tones, like brown, orange, black.
retextures always suck
I love this hair! Its so vintage! You did a great job retexturing it! :)
