Just wanted to let you know
Sorry about the lack of updates on Saturday and the later updates like today. Some of you already know that my father is very sick and it has taken a turn for the worst. I will not stop updating the blog, but there might be days when the updates are later in the day since mornings and early afternoon are usually a busy time for me.
A couple of weeks after this blog really started getting popular, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so those who were around then probably noticed my interaction with the comments went down. Doing the updates has kept my mind busy when I'm not busy, so I thank you.
Well, I have to go back to the cancer center, so see you later today:)

A word from some readers about the new patch
I still haven't installed World Adventures because I am actually deathly afraid of losing my game like I did when I updated the last couple of times. Anyway, some nice readers have sent me their stories and they want to share with others.
....................................................
A word of warning for Windows Vista users:
Do NOT download the latest pc patch v. 1.6.6 for sims 3. Neighborhoods now take up to ten minutes (whereas before it only took seconds) to load and game performance is much slower.
It ruined my game performance wise and now I am having to reinstall.
thanks, anon:)
....................................................
And now from Robbie:
Hey just a heads up that you may wanna post about the new patch thats out, there are only 2 mods that seem to be causing everyone problems/crash's.
The Awesome mod is the biggest one and also for those who used there online custom setting thing that file is called aweconf.
The other one that I found out on my own is the facial hack from MTS2 named facialhack_patch127.
Here is the the link to that hack-
http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=344369
Also people who have World Adventures seem to find that moving there mods to C\ProgramFiles\ElectronicArts\TheSims3WorldAdventures\Mods
Rather Than
C\ProgramFiles\ElectronicArts\TheSims3\Mods
Also it seems that moving the Resource.cfg to C\ProgramFiles\ElectronicArts\TheSims3WorldAdventures makes the mods work.
That seems to help a lot with mods working right with people who have WA installed, however I do not have world adventures installed yet so I can not confirm if that works.
I can say that since updating with the newest patch taking out awesome, aweconf, and facialhack_patch127 made my game run again.
Thanks, Robbie:)

A Plea from Anonymous and Teddy Bear Mafia
If anyone could convert any/some/all of these hairs, you would make two people (and I'm sure more) very happy:)

The Poll >>>
I've been asked why I don't include more clothing and furniture recolors. I always thought they were easy enough but anyway, just thought I'd ask the majority:)
There's a quick two answer poll to the right, so vote if you want.
Whatever the results are at the end of the week will be the outcome.

Pointed ears sliders by CmarNYC - Out of Testing
I just moved this up since it is out of testing and has been posted at Mod The Sims. I'm not sure if this is different than the testing version but here it is anyway. You can use this for all ages and both genders.

Adjustable Female Br sliders by Delphy - New Versions
Delphy has updated the Female Br Sliders at Mod The Sims. The first picture is in my game and without any sliders used - the rest are obviously with the sliders and a bit extreme. With this version, the sliders are now in the 'mouth' section and not 'head and ears' like the last. The jaw issue has been fixed. So go there to download the new versions. The new files will just replace the old ones if you downloaded the first version. You can find the first version here.

Everything will be added in a bit
Alright, everything is finished for now. All the links were added earlier and I forgot to hit publish on this update before I left. Anyway, this is the look for now. I'm working on a banner to replace the one that came with this template so the header is empty for now.
Also I've been categorizing things a little bit better, like "Paintings and Posters" - "Clutter Objects" etc. So until those are finished (probably by Monday) make sure to click the generic "objects" label to see the older posts I haven't got to yet.

Official E-petition to add more body & face morph sliders to TS3
I was hoping customization like this would show up in upcoming expansions, even though I swear the hair sliders were shown in one of the first (if not the first) trailers for The Sims 3. And let's not even get started on the "customize your Sim to look like anybody" you want. I was super-excited about that, but then, the game was released and it wasn't the case. After the excitement wore off (about two days) I ended up reinstalling The Sims 2 and played that until some custom hair, clothes, etc. started showing up. I know that has nothing to do with better customizing the facial and body structure of Sims but anyway....if you would like to sign this petition to better customize your Sims then sign the petition here.
Check out the level of customization in these two videos of EA's upcoming "All Points Bulletin" and be blown away.

Trying to organize my downloads
I ended up deleting 200MB of custom hair a couple of days ago. I really don't want my game to get like my Sims 2 game... cluttered. It was a real pain going through every file, so I decided to add the file name to every post for easy reference.
I managed to get the last two pages of the "hair" label done so far. Now I'll start at the beginning and continue on until I get them all labeled. All posts should be done in a day or two.
This will make it much easier to remove hairs that you don't want anymore or remove hairs that have been updated or improved.
