Udden Kitchen by Desdren - 23 New Meshes
Set includes: Cabinets, cart, counters, cups, jar, rack with herbs, dinner plates, shelf, bottle of wine, wine rack, stove, racks for counter and bowls.
Yet, another great set by one of my favourite creators Desdren! This DEFINATELY needs a part 2. Like glass cabinets, cabinets with slots, more counters and a sink. Great job! \(^o^)/
Are there ANY free kitchens that have cabinets with glass doors/slots?
The only ones I've seen come from the pay creators. They already have the attitude that their shit is better and thus you must buy it, so free creators need to step it up and show them that they can make things that are just as usable, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing.
I always to take in account what I read here, when I was making this kitchen I was considering that I can't make all the furniture that I wanted to, But like you said, I was thinking about a second part.
And not only pay creators have done glass furniture, you can look my Velvet kitchen and you will realize that the cabinets have glass.
Thanks for the comments, and sorry my bad english :)
Ok, I am the poster who made that comment and obviously I was agreeing with other posters who had wanted free kitchens that have cabinets with glass doors AND slots. The "/" denotes both. The emphasis is on the cabinet doors being glass and having slots, as it would be pointless to have slots inside cabinets unless you could see what to put on them.
Oh, and I also remember downloading Desdren's Velvet kitchen a few months back because I thought that the dishes were separate and that the glass door cabinets had slots. But then it turned out that they weren't slots but the dishes were already inside the cabinet mesh and were not separate, so I deleted it. The only separate dishes were the "sauces," which I liked and kept.
Hey, slow down... I didn't mean to start a discussion, I'm sorry I misunderstood your comment, only want to say that I'm sharing what I'm doing for free, I'm making what I want to see in my game, I'm sorry to read that you deleted my stuff, but the slots are new, since Cmonmoney show us how to make them, since then I try to make functional stuff, hope you understood, I'm glad to read this because this is the way I know if you like or not my stuff and why... that's it. I'm sure that soon we will have all this kind of new objects, just be patient ;)
Sure, the kitchens by the free creators may not (in some people's opinions) be as "high-quality" or "aesthetically pleasing" as SOME of the pay kitchens (I say some because clearly some of the pay kitchens look like shit, while others like Shino & KCR's "French Country Kitchen" are absolutely AMAZING). You want to know why? People like Desdren are meshing everything 100% from scratch. Many of the pay creators are not. They are finding 3D models on the internet.
I like this kitchen alot. Someone above said it has an Ikea feel and I second that.
As for glass doors & slots, I'm holding my breath for someone to convert buggybooz's Kitchen Basic set. After I downloaded that for TS2 I never used another kitchen again ;)
I echo Kiz. Is it possible to convert kitchens? I would love it if someone converted Cerulean Talon's Asian Kitchen. If it's not possible to convert kitchens, then that's ok.
This kitchen looks really nice in-game and certainly better than any of the pay kitchens I have seen. I wouldn't rank ShinoKCR's kitchens with the best - she might pick some nice kitchen sets but the textures are really, really ropey.
Desdren, thank you for making a gorgeous kitchen. :)
Not too sure about the "etched" design on the cabinets, but I like the set. It has a very IKEA feel to it.
ReplyDeleteThese cabinets would've been loads better had they had glass doors and slots.
ReplyDelete^This.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the clutter a lot, specially the "rack with herbs".

Yes, I like this, sans the stenciled cabinets. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks alot Desdren.
I def see an Ikea influence... I like it a lot. TY:)

ReplyDeleteWonderful kitchen! I love every single thing Desdren makes.
ReplyDeleteI really like the stencils on this kitchen set. I couldn't give a hoot whether there were cabinets with glass doors or not either. Thank you Desdren.
