I like the matchy matchy a lot more in a home of this size. With a space this small, breaking up the color scheme would have visually shrunk the already cramped home. It could be decorated a little more, and I am not a fan of the eating bar, would have much preferred seeing an actual table with chairs so they don't feel like they're lined up at a diner bar.
I appreciate your comments. It may be hard to see the various shades of blue, turquoise, white,black and cream, but I assure you, it's not all one color. I do try to stay within the bounds of the birthstone though. That is part of the challenge. As for it not being decorated a lot, that is because it is a starter home and the budget is very small. ^I know there are other neutral colors there, but it's still too matching for me. And I know it's a gemstone theme. If I downloaded it, I'd toss in a few dashes of...I dunno, green or red or something, just to break it up a little. But since it's a gemstone theme, I ALSO know why you did it this way. ReplyDelete^Meh, I think it's too matchy too. It wouldn't have shrunk the space to use SOMETHING other than aqua here and there.
