  3. The renders are really, really nice quality. That, or someone knows how to use the sharpen filters properly.

  4. I'd like to get it, but there's no telling about the custom content and the music drove me away from the site. Too bad.

  5. I bet Santa lives there :)

I'm gonna go with sharpen filters. This creator photoshops all their previews, this is no exception.

  7. Wow, this house is really gorgeous! It has such a homey, Christmas-y feel to it. It looks very lived in and cozy! Great work!

I wish they would hurry up with Seasons. It's not the same using the snow terrain paints when the rest of the neighborhood is green. And I guess I'm like most others who would rather not micromanage and spray an entire town.

  8. Ooh, I like it! I probably won't download until we get some type of weather though...

  9. I agree that a CC list should be included but she does give you two options and two separate links; one to download just the house and or one to download the CC used in the house.

FWIW I have downloaded both; the lots as Sims3pack files and the content as package files. I then merged the CC package files in Sims PE and I have had no problem running any of it.

You could use the weather orb in buy debug mode. I'm loving it in the meantime until EA comes through with a suitable expansion.

What I REALLY want to see next is Pets including ride-able horses.

  11. I've been playing a winter world for the past week. I'm pretty sure I got it from Blackypanthersims.de. This would go great in that setting!

  12. This is a nice house, does anyone know how create that light filtering through the window effect in the bathroom pic (second to last pic.

    Thanks!

    And?

And in short, it would look fucking stupid, just like you do for even leaving that comment.

  14. I guess I'm the only one who never needs a cc list. When I like a house, I get it. If things are missing, I fix it my own way. It works out great. I have so much cc that it's never much of a problem anyway.

So aside from the one on the top of your head you don't have a point. That's what I thought.

    You probably are.

First of all, the creators need CREDIT.

Second, who knows what kind of buggy shit could be included in a lot full of random CC?

Third, not everyone can run a lot with a lot of CC. Not everyone can afford a high end PC like you.

Thats a bummer though, cause that lot is so gorgeous and has the perfect homey-Christmas feel. ;S

  17. The only people who decorate their houses for Christmas nowadays are kids and old people.

    ReplyDelete
  18. And the people who just love to freakin' decorate. My bf's step-mom has a majillion stockings all over the house. Three people live there and two dogs large enough that you could argue they need stockings.

The other fifty-ma%*$#@*%jillion stockings seem like cheating, or a lie bc they'll never be filled.

  19. I check all lots for "buggy" cc with a variety of easy to use programs available. I use CUSTARD mostly. Don't you? My PC isn't high end. I combine packages. No problems. Creators don't NEED credit. If they NEED credit then they have a problem bigger than one that can be solved with some list.

  20. "Creators don't NEED credit. If they NEED credit then they have a problem bigger than one that can be solved with some list."

Are you a complete idiot? Creators don't need credit?

Truly spoken by someone like yourself who just downloads, downloads, downloads and doesn't appreciate all the time and energy that goes into making custom content for this game. Meshing is very difficult and a lot of custom content is meshed by creators. Creators need and DESERVE credit and it's blatant disrespect not to credit them when you use their stuff in lots. The only one who has a serious problem is a greedy person like you who doesn't think that people who put all their hard work into creating deserve to be recognized. That's a very selfish, entitled attitude and you're part of what's wrong with society, not just this community. People like you are why I will never share any of my creations and I don't blame others for not doing so either.

Also, as Alan_Gast said, people NEED to see what custom content is used in a lot so they can avoid buggy content. Plenty of people's games have become borked because creators didn't provide a custom content list. If they could've seen all that was listed, then they could've easily eliminated a piece of borked content that was reported in the community from getting into their games. Not everything that glitters is gold.

You're just an idiot of epic proportions.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Also, CUSTARD doesn't always pick up every piece of borked content that could crash/ruin games, only certain types. Furthermore, not only do some people not want borked content in their games, but some people don't want poorly made custom content in their games--things that are meshed improperly, things that are extremely, ridiculously high poly, things without proper shadows, things that don't recolor or don't recolor well, etc. No tool is going to pick up on all those things. But if it's a piece of custom content, it's likely listed here and people could easily find out if the content has any major flaws by coming to this blog, searching, and reading the contents.

The fact of the matter is that people don't want and shouldn't have to download an entire lot with buggy, poorly made content (possibly) in order to find out the content used is buggy and poorly made.

Me too. Not to mention the fact that if you look more closely into her packages most of the CC is created by creators who are already trusted in the community to produce quality content.

I also isolate anything I am not familiar with and could pose a problem and package it separately so I know exactly what to delete if there is a problem.

My downloads are so uber organized it's disgusting but worth it imho.

Creators don't NEED credit. If they NEED credit then they have a problem bigger than one that can be solved with some list.

I personally think creators do deserve credit so I can only agree to disagree on this point.

You don't. The link to the house and the link to the CC are two separate links and contain two separate files.
