whenever i download accessories from lemonleaf they tend to disappear. So they show up for a couple day then out of nowhere, they stop showing up in game. (Not in cas though) does any one else have this issue and is there a fix for it?

Are you installing them as .sims3packs or as .package? If you were installing them as .sims3packs, then try installing them as .package.
I remember trying to install some of her lipsticks as .sims3packs a few months ago and none showed up, but they worked when I extracted them as .packages.
^ I'm in the opposite boat, whenever I install Lemonleaf's .package files they rarely show up in my game. None of the Japanese geisha makeup or the Ghost doll makeup shows up.

Do you play with Sim appearances on Very High? Higher-poly stuff tends to look terrible and/or not show up at all on lower graphic settings.

Really? Hmm..that's weird.
Something tells me she isn't saving and/or making her files correctly if this is happening.
Then again, a necklace should never be 12,500 polys in the first place. That is larger than most hairs. She should also stop enabling her stuff for random. Enabled for random+high poly=potential disaster for your game.

You can have the highest quality game and there is no reason to have a little accessory that is 12,500 polys. No reason at all. She should've cut that down significantly.

Exactly my thought too. LL has potential to create good looking 3d models but that is not only thing that good 3d model is about - but if she will give more effort to learn better I bet she can offer even greater work someday ;)

ReplyDeleteLemonleaf tends to have crazy polycounts for mere accessories, like 18,000-40,000.
