A freaking tutorial on these by now would be nice. I've tried to figure it out but can't get color masks working, which tells me I'm doing it wrong somewhere along the line.

I hope that someone does a tutorial as well and that CTU (and TSR workshop) are soon modified to include a tattoo category. I'd like to recategorize some tattoos I already have so I can free up earring space.
I also wish we had a NECKLACE category and don't know why on EARTH EA didn't include it in the base game with a patch.
^ Necklace category would be fantastic. I hate having to give up glasses/earrings/anything so we can have one. Didn't it ever occur to EA that we might want to give Sims necklaces? :(

This! To me it just seems stupid that they didn't include one (and haven't delivered one with a patch) because some of the base game dreses actually HAVE painted on necklaces, which shows they know necklaces would be of interest. So instead of doing some flat painted on necklace as part of an outfit, why didn't they go one step further and include a necklace category to begin with?
Also, what is up with rings and bracelets only being allowed on the left hand/arm?
Go to the settings and change the location of one of your games. Like the HELS location- just direct it to Ambitions instead.
They just can't seem to be edited properly. I dont know what people making new tattoos are using (BECAUSE NONE OF THEM ARE CONSIDERATE ENOUGH TO TELL US HOW THEY'RE FUCKING DOING IT), but they may well be using TSRW.
ive actually been wanting a huge set of tattoos because the ones that come with the basegame will get repetitive. Nice work! I'm glad i'm already registered there, they made some nice afro ethnic type hair.
There are some really nice tattoos in this pack. I'm so glad people are making custom tats because I only liked maybe 2 or 3 of the ones that came with Ambitions and I didn't want all my sims to have the same tattoos.

You can access tattoos in TSRW.
