I've been asked why I don't include more clothing and furniture recolors. I always thought they were easy enough but anyway, just thought I'd ask the majority:)
There's a quick two answer poll to the right, so vote if you want.
Whatever the results are at the end of the week will be the outcome.
Aww don't need to post recolors...Yeah, some recolors we find are really beautiful, but...Ah, I can do it by myself :P
ReplyDeleteNah, recolours are easy to do on your own, its only new items that really interest me, but thats just my 2 :)
ReplyDeleteI agree..We need only new items!
ReplyDeleteI agree..We need only new items!
ReplyDeleteyeah i think we only need new items
ReplyDeleteWe can all do recolours ourselves. I come here to see what's new that I CAN'T do myself.
ReplyDelete^ Amen. Save the recolors for the incompetents at TSR.
ReplyDeleteYes, recolors are just... that, recolors. We come here to see what's new :3
ReplyDelete"This is not TS2 - They're easy enough for me to do on my own"
ReplyDeletelooks like you already made your decision. Why bother polling then?
I would prefer only new items. There are tons of new items being created and posted to this blog now,and more and more new items will be created as more people learn how to create new meshes. Recolors are easy to do. Can you imagine how bloated this blog would become if recolors were posted as well?
ReplyDelete"looks like you already made your decision. Why bother polling then?"
ReplyDeleteWell, the part you quoted was from the poll responses, not necessarily M3SB's own opinion. So...yeah.
I'd prefer just new items, but I don't mind seeing recolors from time to time, if they are exceptional.
but in TS3 furniture doesnt use reclours , it uses CASt. Im confused.
ReplyDelete^ A recolor is simply changing the colour (duh) of the object/whatever it is. We do it through the create a style. It's the same.
ReplyDelete"but in TS3 furniture doesnt use reclours , it uses CASt. Im confused."
ReplyDeletePeople can upload items that they have recolored using CAST, and these items sometimes make it onto CC lists even though they are just recolors of base game items, or recolors of true CC. These are the "recolors" MS3B is referring to.
I'm definitely against posting recolors, yuck! no!
ReplyDeleteI won't mind recolors if they're something different, or recolors or retextures of new meshes, etc. Kind of like Missimiss's work. However, if they're just straight 'slap a pattern on' recolors, I'm not really interested.
ReplyDeleteNope, don't need recolors. You do such an Outstanding job of finding all the goodies out there for us. BTW, Huge Hug and Thanks!
ReplyDeleteUnless it involves new & unique patterns like shiny leathers or transparencies... oppps... but then again that would fall under patterns and not recolors, right????..... well, don't bother.... its a waste of valuable space. We can all do recolors ourselves.... thanks lots for this wonderful site of yours. I visit it like 5 times a day!!
ReplyDeleteOnly new stuff, please.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for caring about what everybody prefers, you are very sweet!
More new female clothes please and don't waste your precious time on recolors. Oh, btw, is there new sexy animations out there for sims 3 similar to sims 2?????? That would be the greatest find of all. a thousand thanks for your site.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by recolors? I mean, if I add an stencial or change the alpha channels of a shirt, hoddies, whatever; does that count as recolor?
ReplyDeleteJust the new stuff please. I don't even look at recolors, I have ideas of my own for that.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a marvelous job with this blog. Please, don't change it!
Wub you!! (((hugs))
There is a ton of stuff each day to page through, download and install. Please don't clutter up this fabulous site with unnecessary recolors. Most of us who visit this site have a passion for the Sims. We know how to do the basics already.
ReplyDeleteIf it's a stencil then it's something different/new. So yeah, that would be included. By recolors, I mean, just a simple recolor of base game items in the game.
ReplyDeleteNah, no recolors. It's aggravating enough when I go to a site and download something 'new' only to find out that it's just a recolor of something I already had in the base game(and forgot about). The only recolors that are helpful are the ones of things that can't be relored in CASt, like stairs, fences, plants etc.
