The shadow doesn't bother me. The creator explained how he made it, so it makes sense. Besides, yeah, glass usually casts a bit of a shadow. Maybe not that dark, but a little bit anyway.
The shadow is an OUTSIDE shadow because the windows are plunked on a wall in the outside, for show. It doesn't show when they are used in a normal fashion on room walls. Just look at the pictures.
^ Her site was down. It appears to be back up at a new URL (although I haven't investigated). Perhaps she wasn't sure how long the site would be down and wanted the stuff to stay available for downloaders. Good plan, if you ask me.
Awesome creation. I stopped using .package files because it slows down my game enormous. Are there .Sims3Pack versions of this fantastic set ? I tried to convert them myself with workshop, but I can't seem to get them transparent.
these are awesome~
ReplyDeleteNice! This is a must have for me : )
ReplyDeleteshould it hav shadows?
ReplyDeleteI like! It's a must-have for me, too :)
ReplyDeleteI have this in my game and I LOVVVVVE IT!
ReplyDelete...why is it casting a shadow?
ReplyDeleteGlass casts a shadow irl. I imagine it's supposed to look like a standing pane of glass. Why would it not have a shadow?

ReplyDeleteShutup about the shadow if thats a real BIG deal to you then thats too bad..
ReplyDelete^ only two people complained about the shadow, everyone else pretty much said "who cares"...so maybe YOU should shut up lol
ReplyDeleteSome people take The Sims way too seriously and forget it's a game.
ReplyDeleteHope MTS can keep it up. Destroy pay sites! BTW what's with Toolregame's Melissa. She's uploading all her stuff onto MTS

ReplyDeleteI am not that fond of the vertical line between the panes.
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks far to shiney, at the one end
ReplyDelete^ I'm pretty sure it's the same window repeated, so if it looks shinier at one end than at the other it's just the lighting.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree about the seam though. Sort of ruins the effect of expansive windows.
It's a great work! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Tried it in game. Looks good. Not too shiny, not dull.
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea!
ReplyDeleteI just tried this in game. Love the thickness of the window. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteit looks great in the game! ima glad for this!
ReplyDeleteglass does cast shadows... retards...
ReplyDelete^ Yeah, other people have already pointed that out. Now who's a retard?
ReplyDeleteI don't like the seam, either. Like this one better than Simpossible's, though.
