Wonder if this hair still gives sims white shiney face syndrome.. Its hard to tell because the sims in the pics are super pale, they do look shiney though.
Yeah, one thing I hate is hair that are like floating, it's just stupid... I wonder why they don't assign the the mesh that floats with the bone and put some spce between them. Every mesh I donwnload with those floating hairs I have to edit it to my likes with milkshape. Of course, they don't look very well on fat sims because the bone is there, but the space between them increases (fat), there you would need to increase them too, or a xml mod to do the job.
I got it from the cave and it had like one of those face masks on that made tanned sims look ridiculous. Which was strange because this was the only newsea hair id had that did that.. If any of you still have it load it up in CAS on a dark skinned sim, it cant just be me, surely?
^Well, I have the face sliders that allow you to make the shoulders lower/higher, so the float might still be useful for me. I see what you mean now, though.
Look, some people hate the float and some people don't mind it. Why debate over whether or not someone else might find it useful and/or insignificant? It never bothered me and I know I'm not the only one.

The only hair I download that shows up in the game is peggys, but rose, newsea and any other hair doesn't show up at all, they used to but then they just stopped working, I've tried posting this question on mod the sims, but they arn't helping. thanks. I've uninstalled and re-installed i've tried everything.
^Is your game fully updated? Is your framework installed 100% correctly? If you're not sure, go to MATY and read around (but don't start a new topic unless you are completely sure that your question hasn't already been answered in one of the MANY help threads there, or they'll rip you a new one).
They should make two different types of hair, hair for skinny sims and hair for fat sims. It could be two separate files when you download a hair. That would certainly solve the problem, since reply #4 pretty much said it can be done. I don't know a thing about making hair though, so that's just my thought. Floating hair doesn't really bother me, as long as it's high quality and not blurry.
^That might work for you, but I already have hundreds of hairstyles in my game. I don't need or want to double it. I'd rather deal with floaters. They don't usually look all that extreme except from certain angles, anyway.
yeah it's completly updated and it worked better before when it wasn't updated. The framework is installed correctly, I have a programme to do it, and i've checked it manually, and all other cc works fine, it's just so annoying! thats for helping though

I had it and my sims didn't shine, not that I remember anyway. I deleted it because the ponytail was like floating and I didn't like it.

I thought floaty bits are pretty much unavoidable unless you want the hair to clip through fat sims.
ReplyDelete^It's not the normal floating on the front, it's also floating over the shoulder. It looks like it's flying.
