I like stuff like this, but I'm holding out until we can get collections tabs for the game. :(
I would hate to always go 'oooh what is this" when decorating only to find an object that only suits one type of home style, regardless of CASTing. ;-;
Would you consider making a taller version of your tall grass tiles? Like, maybe waist-high or so? I love them, but I always wish they were taller. Plus the taller they are, the harder it is to tell that they're ingeniously made of little individual panels (I was amazed by the wheat, for example, you can't tell it's just panels unless you look straight down).
Collections in Sims 2 were just new menus you could create to keep all items of a set together in a convenient place instead of going through all the categories to find every piece each time you use them. Very useful.

Which grass? The first set I converted from M&G Stuff or the one I converted more recently from Cast Away? I assume you mean the first set, as the Cast Away grass is about waist high as it is.
And yeah, echoing everyone's longing for collections! That's one of the few things I miss from TS2.
I hadn't noticed the new grass, but I still think a taller version of this would be nice. The new one seems more suited to patches, this is better for over-usage in big chunks :p
I'd do it myself, but I am having troubles with milkshape and blender lately. :(
I never EVER used collections in 2, even after all the expansions, but in 3...even with CASTing, I still want to store stuff SO MUCH. Maybe BECAUSE of casting, because I'd like to save one color of one thing as a set and another color of the same thing as another.
I had just finished setting up my collections in TS2 (laundry, music, sports, etc) when TS3 came out. I can't believe they didn't include such a helpful thing. A search function would also come in handy, now that there's so much CC in my game.
I love it.

I have to wonder why they didn't add collection tabs also. It was a must have for Sims 2. :(
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what collection tabs are, but they sound extremely useful. And Aikea, thank you so much for all the fun you add to my game. ;)
