Not only is it unecessary in that someone already did it, but making these actually BURDENS the custom content community- people will make rabbit holes with these AND the other ones, meaning you either have to have a ton of extra unecessary rabbit holes installed, or you have to manually alter lots yourself. :\
They are the community buildings which your sim enters and can do things like eat, take classes, work, etc. Basically those buildings that you see your sim go into, but can't actually see what they're doing inside. With these, you can make your own rabbit holes with interiors and such
"Claeric was just stating the truth" No, that was HIS opinion on the matter. And saying that insulting was unnecessary and doing it yourself makes you look stupid.
Some people want sim3packs, some want packages. So with this you have the chance to choose the one you like.
Also, I like squared ones better, because if I'm not wrong, the others were rounded. These look more like rugs.
I'd say it's more a result of what happens at TSR: they purposely disallow linking to other sites, ESPECIALLY MTS2, so it is extremely likely that the creator isn't aware that others exist.
As it is, I like the design of these better than the signs. Unfortunately, though, I expect these have the same entrance requirements that made the others unusable for me. I like tiny lots. TINY. - Zazazu
"I'd say it's more a result of what happens at TSR: they purposely disallow linking to other sites, ESPECIALLY MTS2, so it is extremely likely that the creator isn't aware that others exist."
Yup. TSR keeps their sheep ignorant so that they don't know that their custom content is mostly crap and keep paying for it.
i appreciate this creation too and thanks to whomever above for actually taking the time to finally explain to us common folk what the hell a rabbit hole was in the first place.
this will definitely add to my game. id love to see them go inside the offices or school. i was wondering what the point of some decor being presented here was for like for restaurants and theaters. now i know it can serve a purpose
^ You do realize that the term "Rabbit Hole" has been used since almost the day TS3 was announced?
Anyways, I dislike TSR, regardless of the crappy .sims3packs they offer, they're still just a horrible paysite, who hates other free sites.
But why did I say crappy .sims3packs? You ask. Oh yes, they're easier to install, but uninstalling doesn't work on them. Even using the "Unistall" button in the launcher doesn't work, they will still be taking up space in your game, except you can't use them.
Finally, this is just a rip off, and for all that crap about "Oh no, (s)he just didn't know there were other custom rabbit holes" chances are, they did.
For example:
"Ah I was hoping someone at TSR would take Jynx's rugs and make some different versions, cheers for this!" - Cadiva
They didn't steal the code. They gave credit to Jynx in their download area. Yes, there are other "rabbit hole" rugs. These are different in that they are square, instead of round.
Criticizing this TSR modder for making new versions of the rugs would be like someone criticizing the different makers of dining tables (one example). All dining tables serve the same purpose, they just look different. I'm glad that there are people making dining tables that look different. I would get sick of looking at the same ones all the time.
The same can be said of these rugs. I'd like to see different sizes being made or even some other object, instead of a rug, that can be used to make rabbit holes with. The signs were okay, but how about a floor lamp or an end table being used instead? ;)
That's just not true, blue_genjutsu, you're comparing a cat with a chair. There only needs to be one of these objects for the Sims 3, but there will always a need for more dining tables. Like Claeric said, more of this sort of object is a burden on the game. I find it funny that all of these people are defending this by saying "we want variation", but the object isn't to be used to be decorative, it just changes the state of the building. You don't need variation of Jynx's.
Now you can flaw my argument by saying: but there were other custom rabbit hole objects before Jynx. But do you remember them? They were large, not very nice looking, custom meshes that had to be put outside, so the small meshes that Jynx made availiable that could be hidden, which made the whole lot look nicer.
Look at the above anon's comment, not even I could complain if cazarupt made the objects a little different, something that Jynx did.
I suppose i wouldn't have to resort to these if I could currently Download Jynx's versions.. But for some reason.. the downloads on that site are missing.. so.. thank you.. for once.. and I agree with Gavin.. Rabbithole DOORS would be best.
way to copy what someone did 3 months ago

ReplyDeleteThe other ones were not sims3packs so I appreciate this.
ReplyDeleteYeah I hate packages too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the creator didn't know that these have already been done. Not that big of a deal people.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the function of the rabbit holes???
ReplyDeleteThey are the community buildings which your sim enters and can do things like eat, take classes, work, etc. Basically those buildings that you see your sim go into, but can't actually see what they're doing inside. With these, you can make your own rabbit holes with interiors and such
ReplyDeleteThanks you for the information!!!
ReplyDeleteYou tell me what I said that was apparently rude or incorrect first.
ReplyDelete^ hey thats so unnecessary.Claeric doesn't deserve that, he was just stating the truth. ASSHOLE
ReplyDeleteIt is a burden, but not everyone follows blogs (like this one) or really keep up with the CC world.
ReplyDeletePlus most people coming out if TSR are very limited with their cc knowledge
"Claeric was just stating the truth"

Claeric, if I recall, you also created something a while ago that have already been done.
ReplyDeleteAnd as you said, you "were not aware" of it.
Maybe this creator wasn't aware of it either.
Maybe you both don't know how to Google.

This is stupid. These already exist on a free site with better feedback and updates.
ReplyDeleteI get tired of Mod the Sims people telling us what we should and should not download. Thank you cazarupt for making this. I appreciate it.

Yes, he's part of MTS. Now shut the fuck up and stop masturbating over cazarupt, they've just stolen some code and changed a mesh ID, nothing speshul.

Some people like having choices.
^ I would have respected this more if they would have made it another object instead of just another rug.

So that, is why these are just an inconvenience.
now we just need rabbit hole DOORS.
