Wouldn't you guys know of a way to turn an entire neighbourhood into a medieval-like city or something like that? D:
I think i have seen it around, at least mods for the jobs and stuff. But i wouldn't want to override all my saves with the medieval themed city and job structures aw. Wouldn't it be great?
I have been playing with XML modding and it may be possible that one day mods could be applied on a hood-to-hood basis, much like how neighborhoods can have their own defined water colors and sky types.
I haven't actually tried it yet but I suspect that it may, indeed, be completely possible. So what you'd eventually end up needing is a mod that defines what clothing the NPCs wear and what clothing townies can spawn with and such. I plan on trying some stuff with this later, but no promises, I'm just screwing around.
Claeric, you will be my hero forever if you ever manage something like that xD I'm to scared of mods if they override the hell out of the game completely xD
Claeric the idea is entirely possibly (we think) It's how they did the WA destinations, each destination has it's own XML file detailing what to wear, skin color, etc etc etc it seems very powerful and it's very likely doable but it just needs more research
Yeah, that's why I was playing with it. Though the only definitions for other worlds I noticed were in the gameplaydata xmls, stuff like what firemen in other worlds should wear and stuff like that. I tried a few things like simply importing an XML into a world file and such but none of that worked.
Alright, the bottom half of Link's outfit is out, and we already have Navi and *a* sword and shield. Where is his tunic and hat? =o He's ALMOST done!
Amazing :O
ReplyDeletethe shirt is a bit too fat in the stomach area for my tastes, though.
what is this medieval challenge thing? A personal project of the creator?
ReplyDeleteIt's the creator showdown at MTS ^
ReplyDeleteVery nice contribution to the theme challenge! Love the boots
ReplyDeleteVery nice! She did an awesome job :D
ReplyDeleteYou know, these would both look pretty good for females too ;O
ReplyDeletejust when I made a vow never to use skinny pants
ReplyDelete^Don't worry, those are more leggings than skinny pants anyway. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the boots. The shirt turned out quite nicely too.

This only happen with HELS's cloth.

ReplyDeleteI agree, Claeric. I really hope you figure that out. I have a few themed hoods I'd like to try if it's possible.
ReplyDeleteThat issue seems to be a result of bad texture mapping on the HELS outfits. They must've mistakenly mapped them in a weird way?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the skintone with hairy legs?

ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing to make your own worlds. Heck, you can pretend you're time traveling if you built a medieval town to travel to!
