I think the bottom of the hair looks better, but the top is a lot stranger. It seems more helmet-y almost. I don't know. It kind of distorts the head in the comparison picture if you look closely :/
What kind of comment is that? Obviously I think it does, so telling me I'm blind isn't going to change my perception of it.
Yes, Savio's version does seem to make the head taller. Maybe she selected a different head shape for that picture, but there's definitely something different about it in a strange way.
I agree with anon.. the bottom half is absolutely wonderful, and the texture looks fabulous. The top does look a bit different to me though.. I still prefer it to Rose's, overall.
It's sad that some people don't understand simple photography. The top of the Sim's head in Savio's version looks taller because the Sim is farther away in Savio's pic than in the pic with Rose.
I agree that the forehead does look a little squished or something, I think it's just the texture though, or it's just scaled .001 smaller, it's nothing to go f-bombing the place about.... lol
The only problem I have with this is that is shares the same problem that the original has: The tips do not change color with the tips color picker.
If they are (and I used vary wildly different and contrasting colors (white and dark brown) to test), then it isn't showing up well at all. But I do like that you fixed the weird transparency issues that it had and that the texture itself is a lot softer and not so grainy and dark :)
Oh damn, I forgot to say that. The tips will not change color. I made a first attempt, but it didn't come out good enough. So, I removed the tips from the control texture. (I don't put contrasting colors for tips that often, anyway, but sorry guys for that ;/)
I tried to 'import' Rose's blue channel (maybe it was bette than mine), but then I found out she hadn't put tips either. lol
I am not an idiot for being able to tell that a head is thinner in one picture than in another. The degree to which it is zoomed does not change that. Go have a wank or something, you're obviously a little high-strung over this, sheesh.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REDOING THIS HAIR!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping someone would redo this and you did!
