Most of these outfits aren't my style, but they are very well done.
"Stop fucking attention whoring your shit!"
To be fair, someone asked for it and they might not be able to get it at the store for whatever reason. Why get so nasty to someone who is trying to help?
"if Rusty's still putting her clothes in categories I'm not Dwnlding"
I assume you mean "all" categories, and yes it is annoying. But the creator has the right to put them in whatever categories they want. You can't expect them to personally consult *you* just to see what categories *you* want them in. Besides, some people might want it in categories that others don't. It's really, really, stupidly easy to change a clothing category, and that's coming from someone with absolutely no CC-creation experience.
The model looks really strange. Like the head looks way too small for the body and the model's calves look too short. Plus she looks kind of stretched out.
"if Rusty's still putting her clothes in categories I'm not Dwnlding"
I downloaded one of the dresses, extracted it with Delphy's Multi-Pack Extractor, and then I opened it in CTU. It was only labeled for Everyday and Formal, which is what it should be. The file sizes are also much smaller.
" It's really, really, stupidly easy to change a clothing category, and that's coming from someone with absolutely no CC-creation experience."
This isn't always true. There are certain items that were made improperly that will cause CTU to throw out errors and you have to quit the program. As for TSR Workshop, it has a nasty habit of DITCHING textures, so if you just go in and change the category on certain things, you will find parts of the clothing missing when you open it up in CAS. So with that, you have to export the textures and reimport them just to be safe. For instance, on one item I downloaded last week, CTU threw out an error so the changes could not be saved. I THOUGHT I got around it by changing things directly in s3pe, but the item was still borked in-game.
It really is just unnecessary to label certain clothing items for EVERY category. Most people get annoyed by that unless the item is specifically fitting for every category. It clutters up CAS and therefore your cache (and if you have tons of items, you should know how long it can take to regenerate once you clear your cache file or have to make a change to something later) and is just useless except to the minority of people who may want something like a really fancy formal dress or a really unique costume to just be available for every single category. And as I said, depending on the item, it's NOT always that easy to change.
I like how Rusty releases a whole series of new clothes, like a RL clothing line. However, the categories thing irks me and some of the textures don't always show up well in the game.
"Besides, some people might want it in categories that others don't." That's probably true but wouldn't you want to appeal to the masses and let the extremities who want it use CTU/TSRW?
Oh thank gawd, I'm not the only one who saw Hitler in that chick. What is with her head? It's smaller than the rest of the body... The neck even attaches to it wrong o_O Easiest to see in pictures 6 and 7.
As for the clothing, the transparent parts are done really well. I still don't like phototextured stuff, but I do appreciate the work that went into it. Especially on the first outfit and all of the various black lace.
^And actually, looking closer, looks like the heads were photoshopped on in those particular pictures. Which would be why the neck line is messed up and looks like someone broke it. And why the head is too small. Which makes me wary of the rest of the outfits then...
Well, we are 'used' to seeing bigger than human heads on sim bodies because people mainly follow the proportions laid out by EA, even though they're rather off. Eyes are too big, heads are too big, ect.
Oh wow I really love these... I didn't even know Rusty even existed until now lol And I agree with Fender, no wonder the legs look so short lol I actually like the model's body... but I'm not sure about the face...
Oh goodie now I can have something my sims have been sorely lacking, camel toe!
I heard a few years ago that wearing anything that tight in the vajayjay area is going to cause some serious yeast problems. Someone should buy that poor sim some anti-itch cream!
WCIF this hair?
ReplyDeleteIt's from the Store
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of these, but if Rusty's still putting her clothes in categories I'm not Dwnlding
ReplyDeleteFree version, but retextured:
ReplyDeletehttp://shyneinnocence.wordpress.com/2010/09/23/shave-femme-hawk-fatale-store-rexture/
I would like the first outfit if it were on a better mesh with some volume in the pants.

ReplyDeleteThe labels made me lol.
ReplyDeleteThe texture is very nice!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore Rusty's stuff. I also love how she doesn't use twiggy models :)

OOoo, I love the black formal.
ReplyDeleteWith Rusty's clothing, I send it through the CTU and change categories. I don't like clothing set for all categories. O.O
B do u watch anime?

No, never have.
After taking a close look at the pictures on the site, I don't like how the edges are showing up. Have to pass.
She looks like an Amazon.
ReplyDelete1. the model legitly creeps me out xD
ReplyDelete2. the first one... wth. xDxD
3. not bad attempt though.
I hate most photoskinned stuff, but the non photoskinned stuff is gorgeous! Rustynail is definately getting better at making clothes.
ReplyDeletethe model reminds me of hitler
ReplyDeleteI love these dresses. Rustynail's stuff is always so interesting.
ReplyDelete-Ariz
^A black hitler?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Rusty clothes always look amazing in the previews and the all blurry in-game.
I can kinda see the Hitler thing too..... the lipstick methinks. Along with the hair.
ReplyDeleteAnyway... not downloading any of this... it's just not what I'm looking for, and I'm tired of fixing her stuff in CTU. And the gold paint is lollable.
I like how Rusty releases a whole series of new clothes, like a RL clothing line. However, the categories thing irks me and some of the textures don't always show up well in the game.
ReplyDelete^only the first two pics the sim is black. Otherwise white. And I totally agree with the being reminded of Hitler.
ReplyDeleteAmazing clothes always excited to download new rusty clothes they are just so gorgeous in game.
ReplyDeleteIn the second pic u see more than you should see. :P
ReplyDelete"it's NOT always that easy to change."
ReplyDeleteI know, but it in 98% of cases, it is.
I really like a couple of these thanks Rusty :)
ReplyDelete"Besides, some people might want it in categories that others don't."
That's probably true but wouldn't you want to appeal to the masses and let the extremities who want it use CTU/TSRW?
The first one is like a very painful '80s attack, but the last one is kinda nice, it reminds me of an outfit that was in TS1 i think.
ReplyDeleteDo people actually wear that...garbage bag in the first picture? That is one of the least flattering outfits I have ever seen. Ever.
ReplyDeleteOh thank gawd, I'm not the only one who saw Hitler in that chick. What is with her head? It's smaller than the rest of the body... The neck even attaches to it wrong o_O Easiest to see in pictures 6 and 7.

ReplyDeleteThose models.... LMAO!!
ReplyDeleteWTholyF?!?!

ReplyDelete^Very, very true.
ReplyDeleteStill looks funny when you're not used to it.
They did in the 70s Shivar.
ReplyDeleteEither way would be great for the Cougar/Town whore in your games. lol
They do now, too, and it's actually considered pretty chic. I don't care for the style myself, but it's not just a 70's thing.
ReplyDeletei like rusty´s stuff, but it all so many mb´s...sorry for my english;)i´m swedish. rustys stuff looks still good in game.
ReplyDeleteLove that gold jumpsuit!
ReplyDeleteRusty's clothes are a lot smaller than before. These look great in the game.
ReplyDeleteIt also reminded me of a tiny head Hitler. Nice clothes though.
ReplyDeleteUgly models. Ugly clothes.
ReplyDeleteUrgh.
Thank goodness he/she has tackled the filesize issue! I like some of Rusty's stuff but I was always turned off by the sizes.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought RuPaul was retired from modeling.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are so unfortunate. In real life they might be cute, but here they just deform the feet and shorten the calves so much.
ReplyDeleteEh, that last dress is just a maybe. The rest are just...no.
ReplyDeleteThe model looks like a man.
ReplyDeleteThe model looks like a man.
ReplyDeleteThe model looks like a man.
ReplyDelete^ You didn't need to spam it thrice.
ReplyDeleteNice; I might have uses for it.
model reminds me of hitler.
ReplyDeleteLME! You're back! I was scared you had been scared off~
ReplyDeleteOh wow I really love these... I didn't even know Rusty even existed until now lol And I agree with Fender, no wonder the legs look so short lol I actually like the model's body... but I'm not sure about the face...
ReplyDelete^ I agree. We should give her a plea to send us her models so we can edit her face.
ReplyDelete^ I meant model, dammit.
ReplyDelete^ Her models are fine. And have a unique beauty to them.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, your old sim avatar wasn't exactly the hottest thing around.
^ I know she wasn't. I randomly clicked on a picture. Besides, everyone has their own opinions.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. Gotta respect that.
ReplyDelete^ I'm glad you do xD
ReplyDeleteBTW, is her model using a Peggy skin or what?
I think it's A&S=Errors skin. I think she mentions what skin she uses somewhere on her blog :3
ReplyDelete^ Thank you! I desperately need that skin :p
ReplyDeleteI love you Rusty nail.
ReplyDeleteSomething is really off about this model. It's bugging me something chronic
ReplyDelete"BTW, is her model using a Peggy skin or what?"
ReplyDeleteThe second and third pics are Peggy's skin.
Hmm. Tomorrow I shall have to commit a search on a sight to see WTH is that glorious skin :P
ReplyDeleteLady Gaga-ish.. haha
ReplyDeleteThe skin in the last pic appears to be Peggy's, too.
ReplyDeleteOh goodie now I can have something my sims have been sorely lacking, camel toe!
ReplyDeleteI heard a few years ago that wearing anything that tight in the vajayjay area is going to cause some serious yeast problems. Someone should buy that poor sim some anti-itch cream!
idk what you guys are on about, I love her new model like hell. She's an adrogynous, edged-looking devil and I love that. ♥
ReplyDeleteI had to edit the disco fever jumper and the last black dress, but I love this dump overall.
I agree, I like the model. Her head's a tad small but other than that she's great.
ReplyDeleteI think it's the hair/lip combo that is throwing me off- it does have a Hitler vibe to it.
ReplyDeleteThe first outfit is growing on me I just hope those textures look as good in game, her clothes are hit and miss in game for me
That second last dress is pretty much identical to one that I own. The lace on the top does need a bit more work though.
ReplyDelete
