The more they show bridgeport, the less impressive it looks, though. It looks nice from lower levels, but in map view it looks really scattered and with lots of empty space. Hopefully there's room to toss a bunch more skyscrapers together in close proximity :D
Did anyone notice the Sims 3 console TV commercial is live-action like the old Sims commercials? I wish they'd do those again.
Love the look of the reflections in the pool, though I have a feeling leaving it on will cause some lag. Also can't wait to see how the curved build a pool system works. It gives me hope for curved walls in the future. A girl can hope.
I'm pretty sure the empty space in Bridgeport is to allow for us to add our own lots. It won't come with the Ambitions lots, for example, so we'd need empty lots to add in the fire station, salon, junkyard, etc. I'm sure more skyscrapers can be added, too.
I agree with Shivar the last post w. the Grant Rodiek interview had a screen shot of Bridgeport that presented it rather dully. I think it was because the buildings were not lit as bright as they were in previous images of the city.
^ It doesn't, -.- Weather has nothing to do with the theme of this expansion pack. And if it did include weather we would have heard about it looong ago.
^ Dude, they were going to include weather but then said they wanted to save it for a stand alone expansion. I bet it will be include with some sort of vacation expansion (world adventures does not count).
"There gonna be a University expansion pack too,is about time, that meant more money to spent."
And you know this how? The Sims 3 is not the Sims 2.5 or the Sims 2 with better graphics, a better CAS, and Create-A-Style. It is a completely different game. If they bring everything back from the previous games and devote all expansions to them, then there will hardly be any room for NEW ideas. This is a life simulation game and there are plenty of other aspects of life that haven't been covered in the first two games.
They will probably bring back SOME favorites or things they consider essential/relevant, but that is it. People need to realize that instead of wanting entire expansions rehashed. Stop halting the Sims moving forward. There is nothing preventing you from playing the Sims 1 and 2 if you like what they offer so much. But if they listened to everyone who wanted things brought back from 1 and 2, there would be hardly any room for expansion packs based around NEW ideas.
I think that a life simulation is seriously incomplete without weather, college, and animals, even though I disliked pets in both Sims and Sims 2. They can rehash some of the previous themes and there's still room for new ideas.
Back on topic, though. I can't wait to have a proper city, even if it's tiny.
The sims pets wasn't great at all, they must have include more animals, something like a zoo, etc. And the university was missing that chance of watch them in their school.Looks like their creating team are low of creativity! So the sims 1,2 & 3 isn't a perfect game at all.
I hate that when we get the tv commercials they've dubbed them with some stupid ott british voice it always makes the commercial suck and I feel embarrassed.
Clearly she's talking about the TV commercials that air in the UK, not the one on the screen. Are you talking about a different post or are you just a moron?
"When we get the commercials" doesn't exactly make it obvious what "we" means or that they're referring to the UK.
I was and the anon is correct.
"It sounded like an american accent not a british accent. Are you talking about a different video or do you have impaired hearing" um nice back hand comment going on there could you not have left it at the first line of your comment?
"^ Dude, they were going to include weather but then said they wanted to save it for a stand alone expansion. I bet it will be include with some sort of vacation expansion (world adventures does not count)."
... Is it me...or is Shivar able to make himself look worse than any troll ever could?
...Putting that aside, I'm excited for this expansion pack. I always enjoyed the idea of having something to do at night with my Sims 3 families, rather than let them just sit about and sleep...
FIRST!!! im so hot
ReplyDeleteThe vampire club looks great!
ReplyDeleteThey should have skeeball. And virtual virtual skeeball.

ReplyDeleteI hope it's worth the money I'll spend on it!
ReplyDeleteBridgeport stills beats Downtown and for that, I am thankful.
ReplyDeleteThat commercial was disappointing. I'm excited about the EP and I can't wait to find out what the next will be.
ReplyDelete^ What, you don't like rehashed game trailers that were released months before?
ReplyDelete"I'm excited about the EP and I can't wait to find out what the next will be."
ReplyDeleteAccording to the rumors, it's a Seasons-type EP. Time will tell. :)
I hope it includes weather. I'd pray for a Seasons-like EP if I did that sort of thing.
ReplyDelete^ It doesn't, -.-

ReplyDeleteIm curios: is there slow dancing in this one?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any of the sims workers use this blog or any CC..
ReplyDeleteI hate that when we get the tv commercials they've dubbed them with some stupid ott british voice it always makes the commercial suck and I feel embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteIs there anywhere that can vote for next ep's or anything like that? I really want something along the lines of pets back too. :(

ReplyDelete'when we get the TV commercials'

Oh, wait, we already know the answer to that one.
Bitch. Cunt. Fuck you. Bitch. Go die. Cunt.
ReplyDelete"When we get the commercials" doesn't exactly make it obvious what "we" means or that they're referring to the UK.
ReplyDelete^ Exactly.
ReplyDeleteI'm satisfied, I wanted a more modern city and this seems to fit the bill! Can't wait!! :) Congrats Joe on 1,000 followers!

ReplyDeleteI just really want a home business expansion. :(
ReplyDeleteAnybody else think that the 2nd picture shows multi-story lighting - particularly around the banisters?

ReplyDeleteThat's probably just a hanging light to light the upper story.
oh my gosh, there's a vampire bar?! Awesomeness! I'm so hyped up about this game, I really hope it lives up to my high expectations of it.
