Can you tell that I don't color coordinate until after I've decorated?
I haven't even started on the ground floor yet, I hope the shell isn't in a dumb or ugly place. It wasnt as far as I could tell but once I start working on the ground floor, it might be, and there won't be anything I can do about it.
Oh yeah, look at the cabinet screenshot. Did you know that alt lets you freely move things up/down walls, just like how it lets you freely rotate or place objects?
Shivar-- I figured that out, but my method was holding the mouse key down when placing items. A number of wall objects (lights, paintings) have it, but I couldn't get it to work on some of them, even official ones, or some CC. Also disappointing-- couldn't adjust the height of the wall-hanging plant. Oh well!
Jynx at CS3 said that the secret to having something move up and down on the wall is it has to be classified into certain categories, like wall art specifically. That's how he got his new version of the slotted wall shelf to work properly so it will slide.
Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteuh how'd you that? i would send my sim to the lots and all i get is the visit option but nothing in there. a tutorial would be much appreciated :-)

ReplyDeleteVery nice Shivar, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that tip about using ALT, Shivar. I hadn't discovered that yet. :)

ReplyDeleteNo, I mean, the mouse drags it- but in set increments. Holding alt makes it move wherever you want it, instead of to set positions. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, the one I'm working on is amazing. I'm so happy with it. Not sure about the "yard" yet.
