  2. Lovely job on these and I have the same question as qianytiting. Thanks for sharing!

  3. yay. I love the second hair so much, I was hoping someone would do a better retexture.

I don't think you need the originals. I haven't with their other retextures.

  4. No, the original is not needed. :)

  5. Lotus could you take a hair retexture request? It's for a male/female Peggy hair from quite awhile ago, I think it came out just a bit before hair retexturing became so accesible.

  6. Okay I will give you the link :)

  7. Hmm...I don't recall the Newsea gypsy hair ever posted on MS3B.

Here is the TSR link if anyone is interested:

Looks like Newsea's "Wishing Tree" hair with an alpha edit and a scarf added. They are really running out of ideas...or maybe just don't put in the effort anymore because they know TSR lets them get away with it.

Actually, TSR is probably the cause behind it. I'm pretty sure they push specific artists to produce a certain amount of content, hence the focus on quantity over quality since they moved to TSR.

  15. Oh wow! I'm really loving your hairs, Lotus!

That "Wild Soul" one is totally awesome! Thanks for retexturing!

  16. Wow, MS3B linked to the booty. That's like official endorsement. :D

These look great Lotus, thank you!

  17. Yay! Thanks for retexturing all these Newsea hairs. And yeah, Wild Soul realy looks like Wishing Tree.

  19. "Wow, MS3B linked to the booty. That's like official endorsement. :D"

There's been a link on the side (under "Links") for quite awhile.

  20. ^ Yeah but he usually never directly links there when Anubis or someone makes a retexture of a pay Peggy hair or something.

  21. ^In this case, its unlikely you'll get the hair unless its from the booty. Since who wants to subscribe to TSR's magazine?

  22. Lovely, just curious, did you add tips to the Rose bun? It annoys me how she often leaves them out...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks, Lotus, love your work!!! :D

Please anyone fix and retexture this Rose hair? (Edakraft converted)

    Thanks so much!!! :)

  24. Nice! Does anyone know the poly count for the hairs (especially the gypsy hair)? I'd like to go on a download spree, but I find long, wavy hairs to be a little bit too steep in polys...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lotus I wish you had a different name. It just reminds me of lotus boobs :(

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Robodl95: I added the tips just on the fringe. :)

@Anon: I'm sorry you have to add boobs to everything you hear/think, your life must be hard. But my 'name' comes from the flower Lotus.

  27. @Anon who asked about the polys: I'm not sure how to find out poly count in Sims 3, but this is the info CTU gave me: Frizzy: 8.979; WildSoul: 9.619; Freesia: 8.037; The rose hair I can't open in CTU. :(

    ReplyDelete
  28. "The rose hair I can't open in CTU. :("

Hey, Lotus, are you getting the "index is not 3" or whatever error? The way you can fix it is to open the Rose (or Peggy) hair that gives you the error in Postal, which can handle the files made with index 2 or whatever other improper index some Rose and Peggy hairs use. Then you save the file in Postal under a different name and then you should be able to open it in CTU and other programs.

Here is the link to download Postal if you don't already have it:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/postal-sims3/

  29. Thank you Anon, it worked! :)

    Rose hair has 6.780 polys.
And I got all the other hairs polys wrong (I told you can't trust me on it xp) Here are the (hopefully) right polycounts: freesia= 10.098; frizzy= 11.516; wildsoul= 11.646

  30. Thank you very much for your fast reply, Lotus. :) I think I'll break my own "rules" and download the lot - despite the fairly high poly count. Hehe.

  31. I wish someone will create a hair very similar tothe third one but less floating in the air. Something like that of Victoria in the first Twillight movie
