^Olden Days is a bit more Recent than Yore, but a while before "In My Day"
Most of these seem Eastern Orthodox/Greek Orthodox. Some of the most beautiful religious art come from those two. These would look beautiful in my town's cemetary.
^I haven't been in many Catholic churches recently, but I've never seen this style of art in one. This style seems to be unique to Greek and Eastern Orthodox, while Catholic Churches tend to use the more realistic styles that came about in the baroque, rococo, and victorian eras.
Ew olden day pictures just look creepy
ReplyDeleteDarn, I wish I had these when I was making that Coptic church.

Olden day paintings? That's funny. These are icons. They're what you would see in most Greek Orthodox or Catholic Churchs of today.
