This house is stunning, but it looks like he'll only give it to you if you donate and email him? I'm not sure, my google translate is funny with korean.
As far as "donating", I don't why anyone is fussing over somebody wanting money for a TS3-lot they made (as silly as it may be); PLENTY of pay-content gets featured here on MS3B all the time, houses included. And as always, the masses will pay for it, and more intelligent people either pirate it or avoid it altogether.
MS3B just needs to be more clear when a creator wants money for their content, so the rest of us don't waste our time.
^ BRILLIANT post. I agree with every cent of it...
Unfortunately, there's just too many out there who don't give a crap about contributing or "donating" to the TS3 community, and instead want to make creating TS3 content into their own cash business. Which if you know the laws and EA's docs, is technically illegal, and MS3B shouldn't support them by featuring such creations in the first place.
Agreed with the above two comments! This house looks beautiful but I wished it was more clear whether the creator wants money for it. If so, no worries--it'll be added to the booty soon enough.
"PLENTY of pay-content gets featured here on MS3B all the time, houses included."
The majority of pay content on this blog consists of Newsea and Peggy hairs, VitaSims stuff, Rose and Raon hairs, etc.
We fuss about all pay content because it's against the EULA and is ridiculous. However, comparing the work that goes into building a house (no meshing skills whatsoever and uses custom content from OTHER creators or EA content to decorate the house) to something as difficult as hairs (which are pretty much the hardest things to mesh) is outright ridiculous. If you can't see why someone would complain about someone charging for a house as opposed to charging for something much more difficult and that's entirely their own work, then I can't explain it to you anymore. Unless he made all the objects for this house (which it is CLEAR he did not) like VitaSims make their object meshes or Newsea and Peggy make their hairs, then the comparison is absolutely invalid. You're comparing apples and oranges.
As for pay houses, the only ones I'm familiar with are those by Alban, and everyone has pretty much decided those are a joke not worth paying for.
"And as always, the masses will pay for it, and more intelligent people either pirate it or avoid it altogether."
More intelligent? You do realize that some of us have to pay for content so people like you can pirate it, right? Without us paying, you more "intelligent" lot wouldn't be able to pirate it.
"More intelligent? You do realize that some of us have to pay for content so people like you can pirate it, right? Without us paying, you more "intelligent" lot wouldn't be able to pirate it."
If somebody is buying it for that purpose, then they are great people for doing so, and I applaud them. But out of everybody buying content, the people doing what you speak of are an EXTREME minority, so my original statements still stand. No need to be so defensive. Relax, friend.
Agreed with the few posts above; If we're supposed to EMAIL the guy first with a foreign currency I'm not even familiar with, this is basically unattainable. It's doubtful ANYONE is going to ever see this house.
MS3B should really check to make sure something is even attainable before featuring it.

It's VERY shady and I know I wouldn't risk it and I'd advise no one else to risk doing so either. Besides, anyone who would pay for basically someone redistributing EA content instead of creating original works to use in the game is wasting their money IMO.

So keep it to yourself then. If the "some of us" are paying for content they then share, of their own free will, for the purpose of pirating, don't complain about it after the fact.
^ i am pretty sure you may need to be a member of naver? Maybe, because i see no way to email the creator. i think you may have to leave them a message via the naver message system.
I wanted this lot and asked after it when Silverstone Way lot was posted but alas it appears to no avail. I can't understand/read that language. It's a shame there isn't like a direct link/hyperlink with the lot. Don't understand either why that lot is email only and the rest appear to be free?
^ Thankyou thankyou thankyou! Is amazing. You should be very proud. Also a huge thanks for posting above it (on site) as you did in English. Can't wait to try this in game! :D:D:D
This is NOT donation. And you don't need to be a member either. All the translators I used sucked ass at translation. I have a picture here , that shows you what to click to download. I checked file with Custard and no corrupted files were found as well as no sims3pack CC.

ReplyDeleteThis house is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery detailed, ornate, and elegant.
However, if vayleen is correct, then no way. I'm not donating one cent for a house.
One of the finest elegant houses I've ever seen.

How in the world can anyone charge for a house that entirely uses content from EA's games? Are you serious?
ReplyDeleteNo one is supposed to be charging for content, but to charge for a house that you built using entirely EA materials is really getting above yourself.

It's possible that Joe didn't know, though.
Fixed. Thanks, Joe.
ReplyDeleteStill, I can't imagine anyone will ever see this.
Thank you for the update. :)
ReplyDeleteA donation lot? Human greed... But the house is beautiful though

Oh please. It's a link to a house you can choose to buy or not buy. Not a freaking political ideology.
