I do appreciate the effort to update, but it is really annoying to offer an update for an item that was released approximately a full year ago after people have been using it for so long.
^ I'm guessing because they needed the experience first. Clothing in TS3 seems easy at first, but there's a lot of details that can make or break clothing.
I use CTU for mine, and I often have to go to forums just to figure out why something is borking up suddenly.
"I am one that have been using these dresses, I didn't have a problem before and don't feel like redressing my sims. Thanks, but no thanks."
THANK YOU! It's so freaking annoying to have to redownload, delete the packages, recombine them, and then on top of it, open all the saved games you used those dresses in and then redress your Sims.
If it was a month or two afterwards, I might consider it. But it's been like over a year. So unless the dresses paint magical unicorns, screw that.
I've never seen these before, they are amazing looking! Thank you LL for fixing whatever it was, fixing it eventually is better then never fixing it at all!
I don't think there was anything that was really fixed, exactly. I think these are just updated with a newer version of TSRW and have a smaller file size, because there aren't duplicate textures, etc. That is what i gathered from reading it on LL's site anyway
The first one is my favorite. I have a sim that looks divine in it, very delicate.
The dress looks great with the original stuff and it's too much of a hassle to change the four different sims wearing all these styles in all my worlds. I am good with the original.

ReplyDeleteWhy not update sooner?

^ Er, of course, what I mean by 'needing the experience first' before I went tl;rd is that they didn't know how to in the past.
ReplyDeleteI really like that first dress. I've not seen it before its really nice

ReplyDeleteas someone who hadn't noticed these dresses a year ago I'm thankful for the update :)

^ I use the Custom launcher, myself, so the combining packages thing isn't a big deal.

ReplyDelete"Early file has been repaired, rebuilt with new TSRW with texture mapping, texture simplifies redundant duplication, compressed file size. "

ReplyDeletedon't anons usually go batshit crazy over that kind of stuff?
They don't go batshit. They usually just laugh about it and say it's not worksafe. Besides, it's not like she's naked..
ReplyDeleteStill, I'm glad for the update, because I hadn't seen these before either, and I think they're beautiful. =]
Hey, that's a buttcrack. Hadn't even noticed, it looks like part of the dress design.
ReplyDeleteOh and now that I look at it there's boobies too. AHHHHH
