  2. The coffee machine and fridge are useable, which is all I wanted, cause of the style. Thanks, Mensure.

  6. "If it's quality items and the creator made them free, enjoy them."

I agree with your sentiment, but your justification is off. Everything at TSR has the possibility of becoming pay at any time.

  7. Some of this could go well with all the giant TVs and movie theater accessories I saw a few weeks ago.

  8. This is incredible! Love the screenshots, too - the cafe is so bright and cheerful.

  9. This is genious, and lol at the snob who doesn't want to download, because it's from TSR... /facepalm

  10. People have good reasons for not downloading from TSR, some of there files have been known to have malicious content in them. :)

This looks nice & I will probably download.

  11. Oh shut the fuck up about this set being at TSR. Yes, TSR has a large volume of utter crap, the owners/admins of the site are douches, and every single pay creator there needs to be slapped for charging for their BS. But there are some good quality things that come out of there, and this is one of them.

Take a look at this creator's page:

    http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/mensure/

EVERY SINGLE OBJECT IS FREE. It is also better than most of the stuff idiots charge for. So don't say, "Oh, I won't download because of where it is." Many of us download the same PAY items from TSR on the booty, so why not the gorgeous free stuff?

As for malicious content, Thomas and his cronies didn't make this set. Also, those who run PMBD are brilliant and computer savvy. If they thought the actual pay items they uploaded there were full of viruses, they wouldn't be uploading stuff.

  12. blargh, sims3packs don't work on my game D:! I really want to use this too. Isn't there a tool to convert sims3packs to .package files?

  13. I like this! As for TSR, I would prefer to download from free sites and do so when I can. But I can't find windows, fancy arches, and lots of other things at other sites. MTS2 presents a few things a day. Other sites do the same things over and over again. I look at my package files and see a small amount of things that I find that suit my building style. I download several TSR items a day and many of those are large groups of windows, doors, and many unique things by some of their creators, like Cylconsue. When I hear people scream here it certainly is not because of the quality of the work. TRS also updates items that are broken and I have found very few broken items from TSR compared to the rest of the community. Some of it is not very good, but somethings among the 'crap' I find a gem. At least I get a choice unlike on MTS2 where they won't even upload a nice painting or a sim unless its so unique it looks like Claeric's avatar.

I guess if you can afford to pay for TSR or are savvy enough to find their stuff for free, you like it. Otherwise, you hate it.

  14. Well, some people refuse to download from TSR because it's sims3packs.

I like the "fridge" and coffee machine, if only because they'd lead to a great people-snacking atmosphere on community lots, but I do not love being forced to use sims3packs. :\

  15. For extracting sim3pack, use this tool from Delphy:http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364038
I convert all the files I download in package and they work fine (I have WA et Hels).
For TSR,even if I'm against paysites and only download free items, Kaspersky never find nothing in their download.

  16. Every time I've used that tool it's given me broken files that slow the game or just plain don't work. :\

  17. The fridge will be nice to have if it works in .package form.

  18. If people don't want to download stuff from TSR, why do you care? You tell them not to whine about where it's posted, but you take the time to insult them. Some people don't mind downloading from TSR, some people do. You might as well argue about vegetarianism, because you're NOT going to agree. WHO CARES?

The set is pretty cool. I like the fridge and the counter deco.

  19. And I've never personally gotten broken packages from Delphy's tool, but that's just my experience.

  20. Not bad for TSR, but.... I don't know, most the things just seem so... flat. Like all the pictures were just pasted on. Kinda reminds me of toy kitchen I had when I was a kid.

  21. "Katana, you sound like someone with a stick up their ass. Why are you trying to tell people what they should and should not care about? It's like pissing into the wind."

    I know, it's pointless. That's exactly what I said.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I really like the frige.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anon, I'm not sure you even read Katana's original post...

  24. For those who downloaded this set and/or the popcorn machine, can you tell me how you got the front of the popcorn machine to show when put on a counter island? Clearly I'm doing something wrong. I see in her pic that it's oriented the right way on her counter island, but no matter whether I used her counter or EA's, it still wouldn't let me orient it the opposite way. If I use a regular counter instead of an island, then I can use the arrow keys to orient it the way I wish. So the only time it absolutely refuses to let me turn the machine around is when I'm using an island...

I have tried using moveObjects on, disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt on, but to no avail.

  25. *skipping off to download*!! :-)

  26. "I have tried using moveObjects on, disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt on, but to no avail."

Have you used the keyboard rotation hotkeys?

  27. "Why are you trying to tell people what they should and should not care about? It's like pissing into the wind."

Actually, that was precisely his/her point. I recommend developing some reading comprehension before you insult people.

Oh, right. You're probably a troll. Nevermind then.

  28. cute! can someone please tell me how to download the sims from ms3b? for instance the file says "sienna_.sim" or something. what do i do w/ it. do i just drop it into packages folder like the other cc or what?

    ReplyDelete
  29. "Have you used the keyboard rotation hotkeys?"

Yes, I have. In fact, I use them to rotate objects all the time. I just don't understand what is going on and I know it's an error on my end. It will let me rotate the popcorn machine when on a counter, but it's the island that causes the problem. I thought maybe it was because the island was against the wall but when I put it in the middle of the room, I still had the same issue.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ^Then use a regular counter. Sounds like that's the only solution.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "EVERY SINGLE OBJECT IS FREE. It is also better than most of the stuff idiots charge for."

Stop shouting. It has been pointed out that anything at TSR has the potential to become pay. While I like this set, I can understand the people that find TSR objectionable and refuse to download from them at all.
