  1. Well that's an...interesting looking model. Don't really like the hair. It doesn't even look like Sims 3 hair to be honest, it looks very very strange.

  2. everything about this is stupid

  3. To be honest it does look very strange on my model >.<

I'm sorry if you think that this is "stupid" this is my first attempt at a retexture and I need to improve, rather than blatantly insulting why not try pointing out things that you do not like or things I could improve on ;)

  4. No more dark roots, more noticeable tips, less bright highlights, and well the texture obviously :P

Personally I think that it is a pretty big difference but then again I am pretty biased

  5. The choice of the curtain is important to the elephants list of morals, i can see that that effort was casted upon this ordeal, i don't know if it's up or down, but maybe the other way round. But still this is not a lie!

  8. "A poetic anon.... that's a first XD"

Not really, this annoying ass does this on almost every entry now.

  9. Ewww, everything about this is horrible. Why in the world would you choose such an ugly mesh? And jesus, the texture does nothing to help. I hardly see a difference, and it's definitely not enough of an improvement to even consider downloading. Ugh.

  10. idk why you guys are being so harsh. I like the idea of this hair being "Fluffified." From what I've read Robodl95 worked very hard on this, and it shows. I definitely prefer this over the original.

  11. I don't like the mesh personally, it's just not my style, but I'm all for Newsea re-textures. I despise painted on dark roots.

  12. I'm not a fan of this hairstyle to begin with so that part isn't your fault.

For a first attempt, it's really not so horrible. Your choice of model is my biggest problem. This style doesn't suit her and it would have showcased your work better if it did.

I'm not a fan of the highlights creating a sort of stripe in the middle of the hair. That's something a lot of retexturers and creators do though so not something specific to you. For me it just really kills the natural look of most hair and because of it I tend to make my highlights the same color as the base to make it look right.

  13. Being totally honest it's not my favorite hair mesh either, I was mainly looking for something fairly simple to try out first and I stumbled on this hair which I thought was in desperate need of a retexture, I know that some people like this hair at least so hopefully they would call it an improvement

PS: Will fix that model! She is a bit scary XD

  14. Oops forgot to add

I can understand what you mean about anon, Those streaks really aren't very realistic but the options are somewhat limited considering that we only have 4 channels to work with, The streaks give the hair a little bit more depth

  15. I'm the same Anon from above.

Thanks for replying. I figured the highlight issue was something that couldn't be avoided. It's something so many people do there's obviously a reason for it. That was just more of my own personal preference, but I understand if it's not really possible to do it another way.

Changing your model will help and of course the more you practice, the better it gets. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can do. You seem to take criticism well and if you can ignore the trolls and haters, you'll do fine. :)

  16. Thank you, I kinda like her but looking a bit more critically at my work she is pretty freaky XD I'll change her for the next hair I do

  17. I could make you a model if you would like.? I'm loaded with CC and many people say that I'm a pretty good SimMaker. I was even featured for one of my sims on thesims3.com. Here, check out my studio:

  18. No thank you, I have a couple of other sims I have in mind, here are a few pictures from the hair that I retextured like 3 weeks ago that HOPEFULLY should be showing up at MTS any day now -_-

what do you think of her? I think she's really cute (She's the one in the CAS shot on the brunette with the black highlights)

Then here are pics with a NewSea hair that I'm not sure if I want to upload or not

I have another model in mind that I think I may introduce or I might just make some changes to my current freaky one to make her less freaky

  19. @Robodl95: 1. Advice: Your settings are REALLY LQ, change them to the highest possible. (if your computer can handle it.)
    2. Do you want your own site, like jordy.dreamwidth.org? I still have 10 codes to give a way, so you can get a site there for FREE!
    3. The retextures look quite good, except the game quality. xD
