I tentatively like it? I'd love to see some CAS shots of it though. The roots are crazy dark, but I have a few anime sims running around with my regular ones that might like this.
If anyone is interested, I have some CAS shots. I chose my most anime male sim to model the male hair, values set at pure white. The second is a more normal sim lady, with less severe colors.
It is way too damn dark, and sits too low on the forehead for my tastes (or for how I create my sims), but it has some promise if someone would like to lighten the texture.
I'm impressed. I like this hair and it's also free, but texture is horribly dark. Not that my sims will go around with white hair, but that didn't look like white at all.
Newsea's hairs are always very dark... I love this hair! I would retexture it but I'm leaving tommorow so I won't have time. Can't wait to see whoever does :)
I'm guessing this hair is based off of Battler's 'do from Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It works surprisingly well in TS3. The hairline's a tad too thin, though.
Since the beginning, every single PeggyRoseNeasea hair look EXACTLY the same in mesh style and texture (which is pretty much everything). Since all three of them charge the exact same way (aka rip suckers off) as well, can anyone yet confirm that the 3 share the profits, or are the same person?
^I'm still leading towards them all being the same person. Even though "they say" they're from very different places, if nobody in the TS3 community knows them well personally, this can easily be faked too.

They're not all the same person, but they do work together, I believe.
I've purchased hairs before to share and Rose's name is different (I won't release her real name here, though).
While both do have big dark-root bobble head madusa looking hairs, one thing thought that would appear to be two different people is how the websites are/where maintained. Peggy's site may be non-IE friendly but has maintained the same website. Newsea however; before joining TSR could not maintain the websites and had a new site every month or so.
Even if Peggy's Rose's, Newsea's hair textures are very similar, I hardly think they are same person. Because they still have this difference in the hairs that you can tell which hair it is.
For example: Rose: kind of stiff looking hairs Peggy: Makes them very big from crown of your head to up. Newsea: They have pile of hair on back of the head, no person has so "long" skull. (when you look from side profile it is clearly noticable - if you of course known correct human atanomy)
Has no one else noticed these facts? Or is this completely crap what I've said?
^^ I agree .. I have very thick hair but it is very thin at the side with that degree of parting.
However, this hair doesn't appeal to me. It should do, but the dark parts, weird hairline and unrealistic flickiness put me off. A flatter hair like this might have me downloading for use on dark-haired Sims.
awesome hair, need retexture..
ReplyDeleteIt's.. free? O.o
ReplyDeleteIt's okayish.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice japanime hair
ReplyDeleteSo awesome! Reminds me of my IRL hair.
ReplyDeleteWow, no.

ReplyDeleteLooks better as female.
ReplyDeleteAs Anon above me would like to know if it looks good in game :)

I wanna make a sim household with sim personifications of the frequent blogger commenters here.
ReplyDeleteImagine a household consisting of B, Shivar, Katsu, LME, Anubis, TumTum, FRIDAY and more!
^LAWLz.
ReplyDeleteI really love some of you guys.
ReplyDeleteGotta have this.
ReplyDeleteAnyone heard of the band, "Toucan Sam and The Oxymorons"?

Preview here.
^Thanks for the previews anon.

This is absolutely Tokyo terrific! Major Hachiko points!
ReplyDeleteIt is really nice hair. Lovely work newsea as always (almost always), but I agree about the darkness.
ReplyDeleteNewsea's hairs are always very dark... I love this hair! I would retexture it but I'm leaving tommorow so I won't have time. Can't wait to see whoever does :)
ReplyDeleteNot a total Betty, but a vast improvement!
ReplyDelete^ lol I love that line.
ReplyDeleteLove the style. Hate that hairline (which is likely why it's free). Opposite of a widow's peak o_O
ReplyDeleteHmmm thanks to the person above for those previews.
ReplyDeleteI like the uniqueness of this hairstyle and that it's free.
ReplyDeleteI really like this hair, and it's free so it's even better.
ReplyDelete@anon that posted the previews: your male sim is gorgeous, ever thought about sharing?
yami wo kirisaku OH DEEZIYAH!!!

Reminds me of generic anime/Final Fantasy hair... with horrid Peggy-roots. Pass...

ReplyDeleteFinally more short hair styles. They are much needed. Tired of all the super long hairstyles. Thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteThe font Newsea chose is unfortunate; the name of the hair looks like "Battier".
ReplyDeleteI almost want the hair, it's cute on kid boys, but the hairline is problematic.
The child model also appears a bit constipated and emo about it.
Wow. It´s untypical for a newsea hair. It´s good. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThose Sims look awesome.

I guess it's okay for guys, but would love it for females. Looks okay, and yes, it's free.
ReplyDelete^ You do see if for females.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shots, it looks awesome on females too!
What is wrong with my eyes? Oh goodness, I did miss that. I need to leave the blog for a while, so embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteI personally think her textures are the most realistic. But this is only for guys??? My sim laydees are pouting.
ReplyDeleteIts a conspiracy about Newsea and Peggy!!!!

Battler as in... Batora-Battler?
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOOOOOD MORE UMINEKO HAIR YAY
/fangirl/
WHATS WRONG WITH U PEOPLE!? This hair is ugly. its way too thin, and the left side looks almost bald. And whats up with those ugly black roots.
ReplyDeletebtw the toddler with red hair looks like Chucky without the sewn up face.
It's a taste question Betch ;) and yah the kid looks like chucky now that you mention it, only prettier version.
ReplyDeleteits not too thin on that side. its because the part is a serious side part. duh!
ReplyDeleteFREE!!! HALLELUYAH!!!
