  1. Not bad... except for the typical black-as-death roots Newsea/Peggy (same person/creations) always uses.

But since charging money for cc hair is moronic, I'll download this from simscave or MATY.

  2. I'll probably wait to see if it gets retextured. If not, I doubt I'll download it. ^_^

The idea is nice, but the texture is bad.

  3. Other than the little loop on the side and the dark roots, I adore the style of this. The roots aren't as bad as they often are but I still think I'll wait to see if Lotus or someone redoes it.

The style itself is really nice and looks like something I'd wear IRL and be just as happy slapping on a Sim.

  4. Oh yes yes yes yes yes, I love this :)

  5. Good lord... why do Peggy and Newsea CONSTANTLY use hair textures that cause poor sims to look like they're recovering from falling in an oil spill?

Yet they have the nerve to ask money for this crap. -_-

  6. ^ LMAO. Point taken.

  7. I'd hardly call this crap, in comparison to many other hairs out there. But I do despise pay artists and the dark roots are so frustrating, especially from artists who benefit financially from their creations.

I like the style a lot, though. Someone mentioned the "loop" and that IS kind of annoying, but not terrible.

  8. Did you guys notice the eyes?
    thats just creepy!

  9. The weird strand on the blonde sim on the left side ruins this for me. I mmostly play with darkhaired sims so dark roots don´t really bother me.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ^Yeah, but I'm more interested in the hair than the models. It looks like it would be really nice, sans black roots.

    ReplyDelete
  11. ^^It's not just on the blonde sim since it's the mesh. I think that's the loop people are talking about. Without that and the dark roots, this would be wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm not sure I'd use it on toddlers much, if ever, but it looks really cute on kids.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't think Newsea knows how hair works, you need a lot of pins if you want that "loop" thing, as someone called it, to stay in place.

    ReplyDelete
  14. ^Not really, I sometimes get similar loops on accident when I put my hair up. Just depends on how you secure your hair.

The loop is still stupid and looks funny though. IMO it's too perfect to look accidental, but too silly to be something you'd actually mean to do.

  15. I see someone is abusing those new Tifa contacts. How come NewSea hasn't made any makeup for The Sims 3? They used to pump that stuff out back in The Sims 2. Hopefully Epherma will have us covered in that department someday soon. Tifa/Lemon/Subaxi are starting to bore me. They need to start creating makeup that actually adds intricate details to our sims' faces, not just circle lenses and gloss lips.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ok Katsu, what sort of makeup would you like? I'm getting bored of hairs, myself, and I'm not the best thing out there compared to Anubis and Lotus, so what might I try to achieve? :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. ^ Simple things. Adding small creases around the eye, subtle details around the nose, more facial conturing makeup. I can't really name off the top of my head EXACTLY everything but those hit the general idea of what I would want and I'm sure other simmers would want that sorta thing too. Think layerable makeup. That's what we had in The Sims 2 to add even more detail to our sims. Now by default we can't layer makeup from one category but if you have awesomemod you can use a cheat to do it. It's tricky but eventually you get the hang of layering makeup and it really REALLY pays off in the end.

Pardon if that seems all over the place, it's late over here and I can't really be bothered to type in a full-on professional matter at this time. *yawn*

  18. You are most forgiven, Katsu. Consider it my new challenge. I may fail dismally... but at least I can say that I tried something new. I think I've done enough hair, I need to start concentrating on meshing now, and will most certainly attempt to make face-contouring effects in the future :) Thanks for the guidance.

  19. For once, Newsea's hair actually looks like the hair on the person it was modeled after (well, mostly). For those talking about the "loop" thing, it's on the real life hair as well...

    I really like this.

    ReplyDelete
  20. ^ Wow. No offence, but it shows that you can be nice when you want to.

    ReplyDelete
  21. ^ I'm a nice guy when I want to be :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. ^ And when people are nice back to me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^ :) I should've guessed. I guess you're a nice guy after all.

  25. Nice to learn there's one day out of the month that you AREN'T PMSing, Katsu! :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. ^ lol...

"Good lord... why do Peggy and Newsea CONSTANTLY use hair textures that cause poor sims to look like they're recovering from falling in an oil spill?"

^ THIS. I'd like to know the answer to this question myself.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah... the mesh is one of Newsea's better works. Although the same "oil spill victim" (LOVE that analogy) texture is getting really old.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Apparently where Peggy and Newsea come from, everybody has roots that magically absorb pure darkness.

Either that, or you know, everyone's a recovering oil-spill victim.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anyone has a link for this?

  31. Will anyone be so kind to tell me what's "MATY"?

    ReplyDelete
  32. ^ More Awesome Than You, you might want to go there to find out more yourself

    ReplyDelete
  33. Be warned, the people at MATY can be massive dicks to you for asking the most simple of questions. Make sure to look all over before you even dare make a post.

  34. MATY stands for More Awesome Than You, you can find them here

  36. Wow:D beautiful hair!
i dont understand why people complain about dark roots! i mean roots are always darker in real life!! and i believe simmers like downloading stuffs that are close to real!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah, but nobody's roots are that dark unless they all have regrowth. that's the only thing I can think of when I see this kind of thing. Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  38. ^ People are complaining that the roots are so black that you can't customize them yourself. It would make a whole lot more sense if Newsea made the hair without the roots, and let the people who like black roots put them on in-game themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ^^ (That was aimed at the anon above)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lovely hairstyle. But yes, that little loop on the side shouldn't be there. D:

    ReplyDelete
  41. @Katsu, what's the cheat for layering makeup?

    ReplyDelete
  42. if you have awesomemod, it goes like this:

    setconfig enabledebugcommands true

    then after that, type:

    allowmultiwear on

^ That cheat allows you to wear multiple layers of makeup and also multiple layers of accessories.

It's tricky when you're trying to recolor multiple layers of makeup though. I'll try to explain it.

You first pick the makeup you want for the first layer, adjust its color and opacity then after that you would pick the second layer but more often then not, it will have the same color preset as the first layer of makeup. SO in order for you to recolor the second layer, you would press that X up in the top left hand corner until you've removed the all the makeup, then you reapply the makeup you wanted for the second layer then recolor it and all that jazz then you go back and pick the makeup you chose for the original first layer. You'll have to repeat that similar process for ever more layers.

I think how I may of worded it may sound weird and confusing but hey, give it a shot, eventually you'll get the hang of it and it becomes second nature.

Also, if anyone has another method for recoloring multiple layers of makeup then by all means, share, but for now, that's the only method I know that works.

    ReplyDelete
  43. *Also, I forgot to mention, when you go back to reapply the first layer of makeup after you adjusted the second layer, the first layer will have the same color and opacity you adjusted it to the first time around. That's why all you have to do is simply click it after you recolored the second layer. Kinda handy. Just gotta remember the order in which you applied the makeup.

FYI I i reported your STUPID ASHLEE SIMPSON SIM for having corrupted custom content on it. WHICH IS TRUE thanks to the arms in hips outfit this dumbfuck put on the sim.

  46. Wow Katsu thanks for the tip, I can't wait to try that out. I just figured out EnableDebugInteractions about a week ago so there's a lot to learn :)

As for this hair, ehhh. I kinda can't stop staring at the creepy white eyes of doom.

  47. "Not bad... except for the typical black-as-death roots Newsea/Peggy (same person/creations) always use"

Actually, Peggy and Newsea are not the same person, though Newsea did create for Peggy's site at one time. I do believe they're both male and Chinese, as well.

    ReplyDelete
  48. "Be warned, the people at MATY can be massive dicks to you for asking the most simple of questions. Make sure to look all over before you even dare make a post."

MATY isn't necessarily filled with dicks, but they don't tolerate laziness or stupidity. I'm not sure why you make your search recommendation sound like a big inconvenience--it's a given that one should search the entire site before posting anything.

  49. Love this hair, will love it even more with a retex ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Not really sure why everyone is complaining about this "loop" on the side of the hair saying it's not natural. If you've noticed the girl that this hair was modelled after has that same "loop" in her hair, and it's a real hairstyle.

    ReplyDelete
  51. "Actually, Peggy and Newsea are not the same person, though Newsea did create for Peggy's site at one time. I do believe they're both male and Chinese, as well."

You're right that Newsea and Peggy are both Chinese, but Newsea is male and Peggy is female.I read Chinese, so don't doubt about it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Newsea is actually 2 people and one of them USED to work for Peggy a long time ago...

    This is cute :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks for the tip about makeup Katsu, I didn't know that was possible.

    ReplyDelete
  54. mediafire link please?

    ReplyDelete
  55. What I seriously loathe about Newsea and Peggy's hair, both, is that as soon as you look at your sims from the side, the hair is anti-gravity hang a foot out in space. Makes 8 out of 10 of their hairs throwaways.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's a cute hairdo. I will arr it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. This hair is complex!Newsea pulled it off really well, great job.

NEVER trust anything on the Sims 3 Exchange unless you run it through the Sims 3 Package Cleaner, first.
