  1. Way too overpriced for what you get, compared to the other sets anyway. $10 for handful of objects and a lot that probably took a good 30 mins to create?

  2. Yep, its overpriced ... I think the items only would cost around 400 points if we could buy them separately.

I guess that Overpriced Bay did not worked out so they are seeing if Overpriced Lots work.

  3. I use s3rc to recompress the store files, so when I rip them out as packages, how do I find out which is the lot (they are all numerical values) and do I place that in the library? Or is .sims3pack the only way you can install a lot?

    ReplyDelete
  4. ^Oh, or even better, is there a site that uploads the store files all as individual, original .sims3packs so then I can just download the couple objects I want, run them over s3rc, and be done with it?

  5. Ok so lets see... I'm guessing the doors would cost 100 each, vases and all the other clutter 50 a piece, bed 100, that would make the house 300 simpoints? didn't check the site but is that really what they dare to ask for a crappy EA building... come on look at it!! who'd be stupid enough to buy that?!

    Holy cow, haha.

  8. I would just like to take this opportunity to apologize. I am very deeply sorry for misspelling so many words today. Thanks.

  9. Also, the price is likely due to the lot, which looks like it was quite a bit of work.

"30 minutes to create" is an affront to all creators, EA or otherwise, btw.

  10. Okay wow. The bed is base game with some triangle blocks.

  11. EA is terrible! They have horrible presentation. They take tiny pictures.

Some of the people at MATY do this.

  14. But guuuuyyyyss.. it has a pool! So it's totally worth 1,000 Sim Points IMHO.

Also is it just me, or is that front door the industrial base game door? It looks a bit out of place to me.

  15. dang. what's the matter with ea? aren't they paying their people enough? not hiring the right people? partying at work? what?

  17. I was all psyched to see a new set, as I have 30$ bucks worth of points to blow -- but not really interested in this.

Anyway, Barnacle Bay is my favorite neighborhood so far but I'm absolutely DYING for a new one to play!! And I'm really sorry but considering how much can go wrong with a neighborhood I'm a big scaredy-cat with the user-made ones. Redcliffs is tempting but so far I'm resisting.

Anyway, I wanna new neighborhood. *pouts* lol

  18. Also, EA never made the Sims 3 stairs that was included in the StoreyBrook set for Sims 2. Still need that.

You can find out what is what with s3pe. The lot number begins with 0xade9966 and yes, put it in the library.

    Thank you!

  21. I'm confused, they make the lot sound like it's a gym, but there aren't any gym objects. Is the lot a rabbit hole? And what kind of rabbit hole is it?

  22. This is really a pretty building. Granted it seems very limited in where it would look good, but it is very nice. The bed is a bit...ehn. The arch and door are both quite nice. I love most of the decor and window.

But I'd not pay $10 for this. Actually, I most likely won't pay anything from this, and just grab it from simsfairy, because I don't have money to waste away on pixels. BUT, I will say that these are some beautiful items.

The lot is obviously not a rabbithole.

go to the-Isz. Everyone there is very friendly, and they put a lot of work into their worlds and test for problems vigorously. I have played almost every world avaliable there, and have never had a single problem. There is a Strangeville by Rosewin that is...pretty much the BEST world I've ever played.

  23. I can confirm, it is a wonderful Gym-rabbithole-petshop for ya.
    Just go, and buy it.

  24. Someone at EA one didn't do their research. Bacchus is Roman. Dionysus would be the Greek deity they were looking for.

  25. ^They also combined Olympian and Gladiator.

  26. what a load of craponi ¬_¬

  27. Nice observatory! very Greek!

    ReplyDelete
  28. With over 100 people on their team, it probably took them little to no time to make this. By the way, what is the site link for sims fairy?

    ReplyDelete
  29. "They also combined Olympian and Gladiator."

    Good catch!

  30. usually i find 1-2 pieces i want in a new set but i don't think i can even be arsed to arrr any of this.

  31. Actually, be careful using stuff from SimsFairyTales, they decrapify files before sharing and spread misinformation that you SHOULD decrapify files before sharing, which is false.

Pescado has said time and time again that you are NOT to share decrapified files because they can cause problems for other people's games and they are uploading decrapified files instead of the original ones:

  32. @ above anon: And what I find even more amusing is the people on Sims Fairy Tales, are TSRAA members. They love to share official items, but if anyone dares share there pay items, oh all hell breaks loose!

Another reason T$R and friends can suck my left dekunut!

  33. I've downloaded everything from SFT with no problems whatsoever And unlike the MATY stuff, I've never had any issues with content refusing to download. So I'm happy. I don't get involved with all these sims community feuds.

  34. "I've downloaded everything from SFT with no problems whatsoever And unlike the MATY stuff, I've never had any issues with content refusing to download. So I'm happy. I don't get involved with all these sims community feuds."

It has nothing to do with a "feud." I have no reason to take sides anywhere. It's based on the fact that there have been numerous warnings not to share decrapified files. It's just like the warnings Rez Delnava gave about not packaging up Sims and sharing Sims with non-default tones. Some have had no problems with downloading and installing them and others have had game crashes.

Just because you haven't had any problems doesn't mean that a. you won't and b. someone else hasn't.

I just wanted to put up a warning to others so they can decide whether or not they want to take the risk. I wouldn't.

  35. I was talking about the person who said SFT is friendly with TSR so fuck them. I understand and appreciate your warnings.

  37. "Burn calories in the Olympic sized pool and control the waves as if you were Poseidon."

Using 1 square= 3', an olympic sized pool would take up the bulk of a 64x64 lot, which this obviously is NOT.

For the person afraid to DL cuctom worlds, I highly recomend Los Aniegos http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/295247.page. I've been playing it since beta, and haven't had any issues.

  38. What are the answers to registering with MATY? I know the question to the swallow is
    "african or european?"

But what about the answer to the other question? I cant find it. Please just list the answer.

  39. "Did I strike a nerve Ayaa?

    Piss off you wench."

huh? What are you talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Eh? That was bitching? I just said that I don't get involved in any of that stuff. Unless you mean when I said:

"I was talking about the person who said SFT is friendly with TSR so fuck them. I understand and appreciate your warnings."

That wasn't bitching. In my first comment, I talked about not having any problems with Fairy Tales downloads, and then I responed to ANOTHER post by saying I never got involved, then the person who responded, thought that I was using not getting involved in these feuds as a reason for not paying attention to their warning about being wary of decrapified downloads. I said ^THAT^ quote to explain WHAT I meant by the statement.

you know....why did I even write all this? I could just tell you to read the comments in order and figure it out for yourself....now my fingers hurt...

  41. Don't know who the bs anons are imitating me, quite rude. My comment was in regards that I find it funny that T$R people share Sims 3 store items, yet if somebody shares subscription T$R garbage all hell breaks lose. This is in regards to those at SFT.

  42. Have you SEEN the lot? It's not worth that much.

    The Mares Nest pictures:
    http://themaresnest.wordpress.com/2011/01/28/an-olympian-physique-lot-is-not-a-happy-one-happy-one/

Look at how little you get. It's hardly decorated or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The lot is sort of ugly, I only hope they are not planning to include lots with future sets too.

    ReplyDelete
  44. This is horrible, I'm not sure which is worse or funnier, the lot itself or the price tag.

I like the bed, but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Although the lot looks good, i think we simmers could make a lot 10x better than that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I found the answer by googling something like "what is the MATY answer to this question...."

Forget what the answer ended up being but apparently a fair number of folks discuss it on the intarwebs.

But I never registered, because they're all bullies.

    Thanks to this person :)
THis lot is around 40x30 size... the lot itself is nice-ish... but there is no point to it as a gym. Ill probably strip it bare to the walls and make it a residential lot instead.

Objects (as usual) are very lackluster. Its funny how EA charges SO much for around 3MB of data.
