  1. Some of these look pretty cool, but since there's no religious aspect in the Sims 3, I can't really see a use for these, other than for story-making or photography. I think that tribal/animal/flower/celtic/japanese/etc. tattoos appeal to more people, though I'm sure some people will put these into their games.

  5. Yeah nice tattoos but Atheists don't need symbols and I find that association bothersome. Symbols are for the religious lot. Better to offer them as tattoos with a personal note to say that this represents Atheism to the creator.

The Sims has FA to do with religion and FA to do with belief or any kind.

  10. The non-English ones could actually be quite nice as quirkly random tattoos. I honestly had no clue these were tied to athiesm at all outside of it being the name of the set.

  11. I don't think they ARE tied to atheism, and I agree with above posters, on the note that these shouldn't be labeled as such. I won't be downloading them because of the description.

  12. I don't think atheism is quite the right term for these. Many of these symbols can be classified as religious, even if the majority are intended as jokes. An atheist has no religion, period.

  13. ^Technically Atheism=no god. Not no religion. Sure, some people would argue that a religion without a god is more of a philosophy, but semantics suck anyway.

  14. ^ a religion is "a collection of practices, based on beliefs and teachings that are highly valued or sacred", so atheism could quite easily qualify as a religion. Christians have faith in God and Jesus, Atheists have faith in science and experiments. Hell, they both seem to search for God, whether it's the being or the particle.

"aLL hAIL tHE fLYING sPAGHETTI mONSTER!"

Touched by his noodly appendage. <3

  16. ^^ Atheism is NOT a religion. Religion implies faith which means believing in something without any concrete proof, and I'd say there's an awful lot of proof behind science. Saying atheism is a religion is like saying bald is a hair color or not smoking is a habit. It just doesn't make sense.

  17. Atheists believe in science. They believe that no matter what, there is a way for science to prove occurrences, regardless if the technology or know how is there to prove the occurrence just yet....so they would be putting their faith in science above all else, making them Atheism into a religion. Mindfuck, amirite brah?

  18. lol I believe in science AND a God. Have done all my life. Am I the only one...?
Anyways, so yes I believe in evolution, and DNA, and neutrons... not so the flying spaghetti monster. I don't know what all these other symbols are.
I like the DNA one though, but the Darwin one is too...lol...shove-my-belief-down-your-throat kinda. It's come to represent that. So yah, these aren't exactly for me. But they're nice.

  19. And now my sims can also be touched by the noodly appendages of the flying spaghetti monster. All is now right in their sim world.

Do people throw fits when someone makes a cross tattoo, too?
