My dream would be if all this visual amazingness and Sim-style interactions came together with an Assassin's Creed-style gameplay. I know it's not going to happen, but that would be brilliant.
I would totally get this if it was a simulation. As an RPG... well it looks like a cute and easy game for children but certainly not an RPG I would play.
I bet they are testing the water to see if it would be profitable for them to release an online RPG of Sims. I would be ticked off if they abandon the fans that have been buying their games since before EA, back when Maxis released it's original The Sims. I bought that game and all expansions, I bought The Sims 2 and the expansions, & I bought Sims 3 and all the expansions up to now I don't want to be pushed aside for players that would rather play an RPG. There are plenty of RPG games, the sims has always been a simulation game!
If The Sims 2 was so much more damn fun then why don't you just continue to play it instead of whining and bitching about how boring The Sims 3 is?
As a true Sims 3 player I'm so sick of 12 year old idiots filling up forums with whiny, juvenile threads bitching about how The Sims 2 was better.
If I wanted to play The Sims 2,I would never have wanted to buy The Sims 3,maybe you have the money to waste on a game with EP's that are just exact carbon copies of The Sims 2,but I don't.
@ Anon bitching about me bitching: Wow, seriously. Anger issues much?
As a person who actually payed for his Sims 3, I do have the right to complain about the product in how it lacks compared to Sims 2. I never said the game was boring, just that it lacks social interactions and actual object interactions, not just an animation to interact with it.
And condoms were made out of animal skin. Oh, and in ancient Egypt? Diaphragms out of crocodile poop.
A friend of mine is picking this up on the release day, so I'll probably go over to her house and try it out. I did enjoy Castaway, so yeah. I hope you can unlock Sandbox mode or something, because with all the years I've been playing sims? I'm not used to a game ending, lol.
I really really really hope modders will be able to port items/clothes/whatever to Sims 3 like they did with Sims 2 & Castaway items.
"I hope people will convert all the stuff from this game to sims 3" Especialy hairs! There's a male hair I saw in one of the firts pictures that came out that was really interesting.
Now, what about those horrible graphics! Looks like it's a game for the ps2 or some portable. I'm not a graphic sucker but I was expecting something better.
This is answering what a lot of fans want. A lot of CC is Medieval styled especially from sims 2. This is a stand alone game not a sims3 game. They just used the sims 3 graphics style. People would know this if they watched the interview videos, etc.
Looks like fun! I love all the clothes.
ReplyDeletePretty cool
ReplyDeleteI already watched a few trailers... I'm so excited! :D
ReplyDeletethey probably woohooed more in the middle ages then they did in modern times, before condoms, aids and other stds. lol
ReplyDeleteWell there was less to distract them lol
ReplyDeleteYet I thought Sims 3 was a Simulation.. Not an RPG..
ReplyDeleteI hope people will convert all the stuff from this game to sims 3
ReplyDeleteYou know, they made Castaway Stories for The Sims 2,why didn't anyone complain about that being an RPG?
ReplyDeleteprobably cause sims 2 was more fun?

ReplyDeleteIts an RPG, your kids can't grow up, it has an ending, not a sandbox. Its not a simulation at all really. Too bad.

ReplyDelete^You do know that they have several development teams for the Sims, right?
ReplyDeleteNo one would be "pushed aside" because the team for Sims Medieval is not the same as the ones that actually work on the different expansions.
I actually kind of wish this was an expansion pack. Why?
ReplyDeleteNice outfits, nice building, plants, and furniture stuff, but most of all:
VIOLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also, doesn't the woman in the first picture look like a man?
Is it me or does The Sims Medieval have the Sims 2 feel? Regarding humour, interactions etc? Sims 3 has always failed in that aspect.
ReplyDeleteThis game looks more entertaining then Sims 3 at it's current state.

The only turn off I have with this is that it has the Sims 1 style aging. Kids are kids forever. Ugh.

It'd be awesome if this game was like "Dragon Age" Fighting and stuff.

ReplyDeleteI preordered for my hubs who loves RPGs and this is right up his alley. I can't wait to try it out
