  6. ALRIGHT! Maternity enabled is always good. I love Max I dresses anyway. I will be playing around with these tonight.

  7. these dresses remind me of paper. I don't like all the crinkly wrinkles at all

  8. ^I agree

When I saw teen clothes, I got exited. But they don't look like teen clothes too me, except for the 1st and 2nd dresses.

  9. c'mon people seriously, you don't have to butt kiss rusty all the time, the photoskinned wrinkles look terrible.

  10. Are the dresses CASTable ?

  11. Or maybe people just have different tastes in sim fashion. Just a thought.

The wrinkles do look a bit odd, but the clothing is still usable imo. The maxi dresses are cute.

  12. look at candy's blog. her clothes are quality.

i mean rusty is really good, but it's so photoskinned.

  13. Photoskinned and the first one is not recolorable.

  14. Rusty is very good but I have to say I am very skeptical because of the over photoskinning I recently downloaded her printed jeans and they look HORRIBLE in game but I will try the third dress out

  15. Rusty is way too overrated, the textures are usually badly photoskinned.

  16. Some of her stuff is better than others. Her pants tend to be way too photoskinned. Some of these dresses look to be the same way (particularly the wrinkles). The long gray maxi dress doesn't look too bad in the preview pic, though.

  17. Personally, I don't mind the folds. In the green dress, yes, it's a bit over done. As for the others...When was the last time you saw a flowing Maxi dress without "wrinkles"or rather, folds in the fabric? Yeah, you didn't.

Loose fitting and flowing garments will ALWAYS have folds in the fabric, which is what Rusty is trying to imitate; the natural movement of fabric Maxi dresses are typically made from.

Lovely dresses, Rusty. I could easily see dress # 7 as evening wear.

  18. Love the first and second dress. Thank you Rusty! ♥

  19. ^but there is a world of a difference between looking like loose flowy fabric and looking like harshly folded paper. and in my opinion most of these dresses look like the latter

I could be wrong, but I think that what was bothering some of the commenters who complained about Rusty's photoskinning is that Rusty seems to get a lot of praise even when she does heavy, bad photoskinning and yet a less popular creator comes along with similar photoskinning and is ripped apart. It's probably the hypocrisy that pissed them off.

  22. Do the dresses look blurry in the game?

  23. Her presentation is very good and things always look better in her pictures than in the game. I always drool over them at first..but then I remember that ever single Rusty thing I have ever downloaded has looked very bad in the game. She has excellent taste in styles but she really needs to learn to hand paint them or at least use fewer photoskin wrinkles.

  24. Well, looking at the dresses in game, I see they will not show a print pattern well. The folds mess that up, but the fourth and fifth (same mesh) and last ones I kept.

They are nice for maternity, this one is better than that EA formal (from Generations) dress that sims seem to use more than the ugly one from the base game.

Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

I agree. After much hype in the comments, I downloaded several items from her and every.single.one of them looks so much better in her pics than in the game. In fact, some of her outfits look outright atrocious with the poor photoskinning.

  27. ARE THE DRESSES CASTABLE ?

    ReplyDelete
  28. ^ Most of them are castable and look fine with patterns for me. They do have some wrinkles.

  29. I have some of her other stuff, which is nice. But these dresses do nothing for me.
