I agree that it's not as popular a style as it may have been back then, but I still know quite a few guys (and some girls) that wear their hair this way. It's a very nice conversion though. Well done.
"Anonymous said... Wow that hair is waaaaaaay too 1996-2000. update time."
Hahahah I was looking through the pictures like "awh these are so cute" and then I read your comment, and looked back at the pictures and suddenly they seemed really outdated. Haha.
Still, I think it looks really edgy on girls and okay enough on guys. So thanks Anubis!
Yay, more short hair! I don't care if the style is a bit outdated. At least it's more male hair that doesn't make them look completely effeminate. It also looks great on girls. Thank you, Anubis!
I don't get this whole outdated shit, what the hell is that? Are all hairs supposed to look modern and freaky like hairs made by Peggy? And if modern is have your sim male look like a little girl or a top model with huge and long hairs, I'll take the oldies anytime! Gosh you stupid people shut up and don't download it if it's 'so last season' /rant.
Well, everyone on this blog has been all trigger-happy with throwing out the word troll at everyone who has a basic complaint about something or anything. "I don't really like how-" "STFU TROLL!!1!"
But oops, I forgot that caps + bold + a valid complaint = trolling
Anyway, to negate my apparent "trolling" (see, there you guys go again) I will say that I like this hairstyle, despite its trendiness or lack thereof. It looks cute on girls.
I agree people here throw out troll to anyone that disagrees with them.... though to be clear trolling is being nasty and otherwise totally unconstructive, calling something shit/ugly isn't exactly helpful, I actually read the comments I get here and try to improve upon them (I know some others do too)
This is really nice, but there's no excuse why this shouldn't be done for toddlers and kids too. I'm definitely downloading this version though. It looks lovely. Thanks Anubis! <3
Why do some people think that everything has to be "up-to-date"? Many people choose to have different time settings, and many just don't care whether a style is the current fashion or not, if we like it then we'll put it in our game.
I like it, its pretty and simpel. Also its not out of fashion, because peopels do their hair how ever they like it, its a matter of taste and what looks good on the face and hair type. There are some styles that peoples say are in, but in my honest opinion the "trendy" hairs is mostly ugly, and weird, and few peoples cut their hair that way.
And also what is fashion these days? Peoples seem to do what ever they find fitting.
^ Both of you are who I'm talking about, saddos that only like what they are told "is the latest trend", "this is what everyone should like now", "everyone should have this now" - would you jump off a cliff if someone told you it was in fashion?
" would you jump off a cliff if someone told you it was in fashion?"
Probably. Some people are sheep who can't think for themselves and who need to be told what to like, when to like it and how long to like it before they need to like something else. It's actually pretty sad.
"Probably. Some people are sheep who can't think for themselves and who need to be told what to like, when to like it and how long to like it before they need to like something else. It's actually pretty sad."
I have watched people over the years make snarky comments about certain people's styles, then several years later because they've become the fashion, those same people are suddenly wearing those styles saying how nice they are!
um... for some reason this hair reminds me of a video game character... not sure if it's leon from resident evil or if it's the guy from silent hill 4 =/
Wow I must be out of it, not only did I not notice that this haircut was ever "in" style, but I think it's adorably fabulous NOW. Think I may just get my hair cut like this or very similar next time.
Here's the thing: while individual human faces may change with time, what is flattering to any particular head shape does not change. That's where the term "classic" comes in, and I personally see this as somewhat classic. I'll probably have my stylist put a slight bob into the cut, not so much razor.
Wow that hair is waaaaaaay too 1996-2000. update time.
ReplyDelete^ That really depends on the rest of the persons attire. This hair could work with trendy hipster looks of the current time.

Great minds think alike, indeed. I was going to make a request for that hair. This is badass.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Thanks, Anubis!
ReplyDeleteIgnore the trolls. They will be on every post of yours.
Nice!
ReplyDeleteI think it's absolutely gorgeous on women. On men it's a little, er, feminine.
ReplyDeleteI changed my mind. I don't think anything with a penis should have this hair.

This makes me wish there were hair like that of Tegan and Sara.

ReplyDeleteLooks good on females, but I don't care for it on males.
ReplyDeleteGood job Anubis. :)
Good Job!! I need more male hair!!!:D
ReplyDeleteIs troll the new homophobe/racist? Seems like everyone just starts shrieking TROOOOOOOLL the second they read something they don't like.
ReplyDelete"I hate this hair because I don't think it's current and it doesn't look good on males" >> Opinion (not mine, but AN opinion)
"HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT PRECIOUS SIMS" >> Troll
*waits patiently to be called a troll*
Anyone know which skin is he using. Thanks..
ReplyDeleteI really liked this for TS2, thank you for converting it. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice, but there's no excuse why this shouldn't be done for toddlers and kids too.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely downloading this version though. It looks lovely. Thanks Anubis! <3
Thanks Anubis, and can you keep the male hairs coming our way. They need it more than the females. <3

I know a few people that have a similar hairstyle to this, both men and women. I better tell them they're outdated. I'm sure they'd like to know.
ReplyDeleteI love this on guys! Thank you so much Anubis! You are my hero!!! *Happily runs off to download*
ReplyDeleteThis hair looks great on males, but on females it's weird. JMO. :D Thanks for giving us another male hair style. It's so badly needed.
ReplyDelete"Anyone know which skin is he using. Thanks.."
ReplyDeleteI believe he's using Aikea's skin.
"This is really nice, but there's no excuse why this shouldn't be done for toddlers and kids too."
Except for the fact that Anubis didn't feel like converting it for kids and toddlers? Is there an excuse for you being rude?
Georgeous!

The volume on top makes it look ridiculous on men. Other than that, there are so many like this.

Ditto, this is actually a very nice hair. The simple, non flashy texture compliments it nicely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for presenting something "retro" for whom love having it in their games. I love short, female styles. This one is cute.
