I want to download him SO MUCH, but I'm worried about downloading any Sim that uses face sliders, because when I install the Late Night EP, the older custom sliders won't work any more.

Says who? I've not heard anyone with any knowledge of modding say that the older, custom sliders won't work anymore, nor have I heard anyone who works for EA say this.
The only place I've seen this was at the official forums, and none of those people who made the comments were modders. That place is FILLED to the brim with morons who don't know what they are talking about 99% of the time.
And they mean the breast and muscle sliders. It'll fill up the slots and the jaw and chin sliders will stop working. And mayhap the custom sliders will have to be updated. Who knows.
A lot of mods stop working once a new expansion comes out, and EA gives us the mandatory patch that comes with the EP. The mods then need to be updated to work with the new expansion. So, it's quite possible some custom face/body sliders will stop working when the new EP comes out.

That's why there are already core mods out there that REMOVE the number of available slots per section. aWT has one, AD85 has one with the EGC, jonha has one with her slider hack (I think it allows up to 100 or something crazy like that), and awesomemod may have it as well.
So as soon as those are updated for Late Night, it shouldn't be a problem. Pescado and aWT update pretty fast. Also, for all we know, EA may be adding entirely new sections.

Ricky might not need sliders. I'm not sure since he's a born in game sim. I just added the link there to the ones I use because you never know with sliders sometimes.
Awesomemod does lift the slider limit. It's what I use.

According to this preview, the breast and muscle sliders are not in the same section as the custom sliders now are.
