Kind of lol'ing since Maxis was barely involved with The Sims 2 (in response to the comments). I understand what you mean though. TS2 was kind of like a life simulator with a bunch of fun and randomness thrown in; TS3 was more realistic and strictly a simulator with RPG elements.
I dunno, I played TS2 for years and it took me maybe half a day of playing TS3 to get used to the new icons. I never even thought about the old ones after that point, and I never felt there was something missing in terms of humor.
I guess I just don't give a crap. Obviously a lot of people do, though, so good work.
Come on people we all love Sims2...but it doesnt mean that sims3 is less fun!we can roam around everywhere...and evrything is so realistic in sims3,i prefer sims3 :D
You guys need to take some notes from the Golden Girls. Yes the good ol' days were great, but you still have a great life ahead of you and it's up to you to make it fun!
It looks so old now lol. I just got used to the new icons, but I am sure there are people who will really like this.
ReplyDeleteI can't recall what any of the Sims 3 icons look like. But I definitely remember these.
ReplyDeleteCan't even remember what any of these mean now.
ReplyDeletefeeling nostalgic now..
ReplyDeleteNever played Sims 2 I like these though
ReplyDeleteahh the olden days
ReplyDeletei like the sims better when maxis was still here
ReplyDelete^Me too. :(
ReplyDelete^^ Me too. I guess their spirit is missing... we can feel that with the lack of humor in the Sims 3.
ReplyDeleteBlah, these just remind me of how basic The Sims 2 was. I don't look back, I look forward.

ReplyDeleteI cannot even tell you how many laughs I had while playing the sims 2.
In the sims 3, i have some but not nearly what I used to.
I totally agree that maxis is missed. They just made the game so much more funny and lively.
No. I prefer EVERYTHING about the sims 3. Lol. This looks so cheap and basic its not funny.

I loved the Sims 2 random funny stuff they would do - like gifting someone a stove on their front porch for having a nice time on a date :)
ReplyDeleteI miss the whimsy of TS1... the big Wil Wright snoring at the top of the beanstalk!
ReplyDelete^ Yeah, TS1 was great :)
