^And you felt the need to announce this on a Sims 3 blog, why?
Yeah, have fun with having to have 10 GIGs of custom content in a million different recolors/retextures because there is no CAST system. Have fun with those loading screens and the downgrade in graphics.
And in Anon's defense, Sims 2 really isn't that bad. If you have all the cc you want in it It's a lot better than sims 3 in many ways while sims 3 is better in many ways. It depends on what game you want to play. I like sim creating in sims 3 and the such, while I do majority of my actual playing in sims 2 cause I find the characters quirkier and more enjoyable to play. That and the fact that I have a mean Hogwarts going on :D

You can't compare a game that has been out since 2004 and has 8 expansion packs to a game that has been out under 2 years and only has 3 expansion packs.
Of course Sims 2 is still going to have more than Sims 3 at this stage.
If anyone could make a mod for TS3 style aging and the open neighborhood for TS2, I would undoubtedly be playing it... But that sounds pretty impossible, so TS3 for me! I love this sim, she's pretty, downloading now.

I'm not talking about content, I'm talking about general game play. In sims 3, you have the benefits of an open neighborhood and lots of sims to interact with without getting a loading screen, which is great. However, in sims 2, I find that all the people react differently and more wild than in sims 3. You can get more interactions and such, and don't forget Mrs. Crumplebottom which EA has failed to reintroduce to the sims 3 (I don't count that Agnis(?) person they had in sunset valley). She was one of my favorite date companions in nightlife. I prefer sims 3 sim creation to sims 2, and I love all the customization options in sims 3, but sims 2 just has better game play in my opinion. It's easier and more fun to wreak havoc in the sim worlds. I've played generations upon generations in sims 2, but I just can't find the dedication to finish one in sims 3.
Really pretty Sim, I like her!
ReplyDeleteCute. But Ive started playing TS2 now instead and its more fun.

Also, enjoy the lack of body sliders.
I can do without all of that so long as I have pets and uni! Waiting for pets and uni in sims 3!
ReplyDelete^poor soul.
ReplyDeleteLol. Thanks for liking the sim

Yes, the gameplay of the sims 2 is much more free and fun. I desperately want new gameplay interactions for the sims 3.
