I hope this time he only selected the Swimwear category.
I downloaded one of the last dresses and despite it showing up as 18.04 MB when installed through my Launcher, he had selected the dress for every.single.clothing.category and it was very annoying.
Anyway, looove the first and last one, but I very rarely have my Sims actually swim so I won't waste the memory space. They're very nice nonetheless, Rusty <3
OT, but has anyone been having problems with their launcher since the 1.12 patch/Ambitions installation?
I'm not really having problems, per se, but it seems my installed content is now scattered and mixed up and there is no longer any organization so it's a real pain in the ass to go through and have to search and search if I want to delete something. Before the update, things were organized from most recently installed content to oldest but not anymore.
I have a problem. I believe my WA is showing the wrong version in the Launcher.
I updated my base game to patch 1.12 before I installed Ambitions. But I bought and installed WA AFTER I had already updated to 1.12 and installed Ambitions. When I mouse over the icons at the bottom left of the Launcher, it says my base game is 1.12.70, WA is 2.0.86 and Ambitions is 4.0.87. Why isn't it showing WA as 2.7?
Is there another way I can check which version of WA I have? The Launcher tells me my game is up to date...
To the person who wrote that they fear they have the wrong version of WA: it is possible to patch the game EPs individually. Just go to Simprograms where they have all the patches, and download the correct ones for your region and for WA. Then patch WA incrementally, one patch at a time, until you get up to the latest version. (I believe when you install Ambitions or any EP, it only adds the patch for that EP and doesn't necessarily patch the base game or WA or HELS).
I was able to choose the patch download that was from 2.0.86 (retail version of WA) to the newest version 2.7.7. Now all the version numbers are correct!
I've never seen Rusty comment on here, good to know he/she's taking the file sizes into consideration. Otherwise i love having his creations in my game, i'm just trying to keep it to a certain minimum.
You could could also do a .package file merge, which would cut down on .package size by a ton. That's what I end up doing with hair files especially since those tend to be on the huge side (cough NEWSEA cough)
Jenipunch whats a package file merge? After i installed ambitions i only had a few sims3packs left and ive only installed mainly hacks and some hairs but i am literally trying to avoid downloading unless needed.

Yep. And it works beautifully. I also decrapified my Sims3 packs before installing then compressed my dbc cache directory with the compressorizer after installing with excellent results. I have 4 GB of cc in game and not a lick of lag.
The second one looked badass until I noticed it just looks like she put it on wrong :P
ReplyDeleteI love the first one. It's very...3 dimensional?
Now this is what I needed. I don't like all of them, but the first and the last one look awesome

ReplyDeleteThanks Rusty, these are gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteRusty, which version of TSR workshop are you using? The latest version compresses file size greatly. Older versions do not.
ReplyDeleteLooks very cool, nice work slit eye.
