^ Since it's not described as a .ini file, I put it in my Documents/Electronics Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages/ folder. I have a hacks folder that I use for stuff that normally will need updating with every new patch.
Glad HP want to fix what I need for a playable game.
^Not sure what you mean. Do you mean whether or not this mod will work with the base game? It probably won't since it mods the camera speed in high-rises.
Yay for this mod. All I need now is for Awesome Mod to be updated.
^ No, I thought it was a .ini file and didn't know which directory I would have to put it in. But since it's a .package, I'm putting it in the mods folder.
^^I think club wall speakers are in community objects in build mode.
^I did have AM, but it hasn't been updated for the new EP/patch yet. Also, I meant that I can't move around my slider values, so I can't make any new sims for the time being. :(
You can still have your non-default skins you just have to use the mouse wheel to scroll the list.
Did anyone noticed that sometimes the muscle tone slider is a bit glitchy if you put a non-default skin or a CC hair instead of default's? It's a pain, but it's like the changes are being made but not loaded, if you accept the changes the muscle tone shows up fine ingame.
Don't know if it's just that my cache is full or something. Clearing/raising it did not helped though.
^ Actually there is a test version of awesome mod available, I can give you the download link if you want. I'm using it right now. Haven't come across any issues.
^^ Please let us know how that works out for you Andrea. I too use Awesomemod as well as Rez's UI mod and I don't have Late Night yet due to the potential issues you already mentioned. If the new Awesomemod can fix your slider issue AND you can use your non-default skins again without the UI mod being fixed, this is wonderful news.
You can remove the UI mod and still use the custom skintones. I think people get confused and think you need the mod in order to see the skintones in game, which is simply false. The UI mod just makes the box that displays the skintones bigger, so you can see all the skintones at once. Without the UI mod, all you have to do in CAS to select the skintone you want, is to scroll through them with the wheel on your mouse. So no need to keep something in your game that needs updating and is locking out certain features just because you are misinformed and think you have to have it to use your ND skins, because you don't
Yesssssssss
ReplyDeleteWhere exactly would one place this mod? Base game or in Late Night?

ReplyDeleteDamn, I love this mod. Picture taking just got a whole lot easier!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, it will work with an updated base game. It's on the thread that the requirements is the latest patch.
ReplyDeleteOH, THANK GOD FOR HP!
ReplyDeleteThe camera was annoying me as hell.
I was like, *Press W* OMG STOOOPPPP, *TRAVELS ACROSS TOWN*
@B Oh, I forgot about that! Anyways, glad the problem was solved.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention, the UI has been greatly missed as well. The downside of having a new EP released has been waiting for mods to be updated.
^ To be honest, I don't really miss the UI mod. It's just as easy to just scroll down through the skintones.
ReplyDelete^Yeah, but keeping my non-default skins locks up all the sliders up in my game. I can't bear to give up my Lady Frontbum, M. Calero or Asian skins. :(
ReplyDeleteAnyone know where the wall speakers for clubs are ?
ReplyDeleteDo you use awesomemod Andrea? It expands the amount of sliders you can use in your game.
ReplyDelete^^I think club wall speakers are in community objects in build mode.

ReplyDeleteHere you go if you want: http://alpha.moreawesomethanyou.com/ts3/test/
ReplyDelete^Thanks, I'll check to see how many bugs it's got before I download it though. :)

ReplyDeleteIt works bro.

ReplyDeleteD: The patch won't install, I just keep getting a "File Not Found" error... help?
ReplyDeleteUninstall which ever game it's doing that for and reinstall and patch again.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah... and my EADM is in some language... I'm not sure what language it is but it's definitely not English. Help? I am so confused D:
ReplyDeleteAre you using the old HELS patch? The incremental one was borked, not sure if EA already fixed the file.
ReplyDeleteBut if it IS HELS then use this one.
Problem is, it doesn't work with my other camera mods...will need to start combining their features, I guess.
