  1. Wow, paying for a set that was in Sims 2. I do like a couple of the dresses in the Moroccan set.

EA lost their mind with charging $12 USD for the laundry set. Guess they want to make the most of those whom didn't buy Ambitions.

Love the Glitter and Glam set. Really goes well with my antique homes. I can see my snobs looking chic in this set. That hat is smokin'!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Great, I love the most of the stuff, but what pisses me off is that the marrocan set is mostly from Sims 2. EA doesn't have any creativity anymore. Anyway,I shall arr these asap. :D

    ReplyDelete
  3. I love most of these sets. Definitely getting some.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Finally, alternate laundry stuff. I couldnt believe there wasnt any in Late Night.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Love the Christmas tree and snow globe!

About the "gameplay" items, the laundry sets and the like would still work if they were ripped out as packages, right?

    ReplyDelete
  6. ^ I don't think so. They brought that set back because a lot of us missed it from the sims 2. It's a really nice set and they just wanted to share again with us. I don't understand how you can be so hostile to a company that is the source of hours of your own enjoyment.

You already said you're going to illegally download it so why are you even being picky? You should thank the nice people that are considerate enough to actually pay for these things and share it amongst you.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^ That comment is addressed to Lotus.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ^Anon above, I do like the items and I'm getting them for sure, what I don't like is them charging for something that isn't new and that everyone who bought Sims 2 + packs already had it. They simply converted it and for that reason didn't put enough work on something new to charge again.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Also, I did bought everything Sims related up do Sims 3 and I don't feel like paying again for the same stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ^ You do realize that out of the millions of players, MANY do not have the skills or know how to convert objects from the sims 2? Not only that, not everything from that game translates well into the sims 3 and actually has to be reworked. I wish you would just be thankful instead of constantly complaining.

    ReplyDelete
  11. They didn't "simply convert it', I would bet that they improved the mesh, and there is no doubt that they gave it color masking as well as a normal map and a new texture.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Honestly, I wouldn't have any issue with the TS3 Store if they didn't charge SOOOOOOOO MUCH F'ING MONEY FOR EVERY SINGLE THING. Everything needs to be reduced by 3/4. A laundry set for $12... seriously?! It's not worth any more than $3.

But hey, if EA wants to encourage piracy on such a grand scale, be my guest.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Exactly Shivar, that's what I was trying to explain to her. Somethings can just be directly converted. Thank you for adding more detail to what I wanted to say.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Annon, I'm pretty new to MS3B and if you stalk my past comments you'll see I don't 'constantly' complain.
But when I don't like something I do say so, I'm an opinionated person what can I do. But it doesn't mean I totally hate or bitch at everything.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I like the Moroccan set (I didn´t play Sims 2).

    ReplyDelete
  16. Aw, the snowman in the holiday is so cute :) I like a bit from each set, which is nice.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Definitely arr-ing the Laundry set and all the clothes :D

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree with complaints about prices.. it should be more in line with what EPs cost. Sets seem to be giving you less objects now for a higher price.

But the total Moroccan set, and the hair set isn't /that/ bad compared to the laundry set.

    ReplyDelete
  19. "Honestly, I wouldn't have any issue with the TS3 Store if they didn't charge SOOOOOOOO MUCH F'ING MONEY FOR EVERY SINGLE THING. Everything needs to be reduced by 3/4. A laundry set for $12... seriously?! It's not worth any more than $3.

THIS. THIS 100%. Nothing more needs said.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lotus you don't need to get defensive. I'm just saying, don't bite the hand that feeds you. EA doesn't even have to make these store objects. You just came very entitled. It's bothersome when someone acts that way and then says "I'm gonna arr this". Just, give me a break.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Look at that alot of talk about pirating EA sets. I'm reporting these comments now.

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Lotus said...

Great, I love the most of the stuff, but what pisses me off is that the marrocan set is mostly from Sims 2. EA doesn't have any creativity anymore. Anyway,I shall arr these asap. :D" I am reporting you to the police thief!

    "Anubis360 said...

Definitely arr-ing the Laundry set and all the clothes :D" Thief! Your reported!

    ReplyDelete
  23. ^ Also reported, helping my fellow bros out.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, you're talking to me so I'm just replying, not getting all defensive.
And that first comment I posted was my opinion, you're free to not agree with me but don't start 'give me a break' shit when you are the one not happy with what I said.

Blame whatever you want, Anon. It's easy to talk whatever you want and just go all Anonnymous.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Why do they keep making the same sets over and over? Where's the "heavy metal" sets? "1920's" sets? "Prison" sets? "school" sets? I could go on forever...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lotus is the new Jenipunch!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe the sets wouldn't be so expensive if they weren't pirated so much.

The same thing goes for expansion packs,if they weren't pirated so much EA woulden't see a need to charge the honest people who want to honestly purchase the game.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why is their a t.p. holder in an outdoor set?

    EA you make no sense!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lotus, using my anonymity as a defense for your for poor attitude is nothing more than an ad hominem (look it up). Just be grateful anyone shares these sets for you to download. Don't think for a second that just because you're using a blogger account that I'm picking you out of a crowd, had a fellow anon said the same things as you, I would of approached them the same way. *Notice I'm not using harsh language towards you like you are to me.*

    ReplyDelete
  30. You can't report an anon without an IP address, which... you don't have.

Back on topic! The snowglobe gives me the sads, as its almost as big as the Christmas tree. :(

    ReplyDelete
  31. I just don't think it's very smart saying that you're going to pirate these sets using a registered Blogger account name.

Just sayin',I also smell a thread lock in the near future.

    ReplyDelete
  32. If I'm using harsh language I sincerly apologise, English isn't my first language and by far I'm fluent at it.

Also, I never said I wasn't grateful. I am. I do buy some stuff from the Store but there are things that I think isn't worth it and charging what would be around $40 converted to my currency is not something I aprove of EA doing.

And i'm out of here. Keep trying to push my opinion is stupid. I just said what I think, people don't have to agree but getting a bad reply doesn't mean I'll change my mind easily. I have my reasons too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ignore the trolls Lotus.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sorry but the style of the clothes are not moroccan... The style of the woman and the man are spanish style, the furniture is moroccan but the clothes... no

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's says cante, not morroccan...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Not Spanish clothes. It's an andalusian or flamenco costume; please, don't generalize.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sorry Anon, soy española xD solo que me da rabia que lo pongan como marroqui porque no lo es.
/ Sorry Anon, I'm Spanish xD I just hate to put it as Moroccan because it is not.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sorry but the style of the clothes are not moroccan...

Probably why they aren't called moroccan, but "Cante Captivating, referring to Cante Flamenco.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Today's most recent fart was, at first, remarkably similar in sound to the ferocious blast of a car horn, or perhaps an angry lion's frightening but captivating roar. I was instantly reminded of my childhood days in the big city, which were followed by a reminder of my local zoo, which I am inspired to visit shortly.

    ReplyDelete
  40. After spending hours upon hours dealing with crashing windows and creators who refuse to admit their windows are crashing the game, I am glad they created the Moroccan set and I did not have to deal with a conversion. I love custom items but its difficult when several people have problems with an item and the creator tells us its not a problem..or finds work around that don't work. All for a simple window mask fix! TSR creators I contacted all fixed them. Weird..and I prefer MTS but..hey, crashing game is not fun.

    ReplyDelete
  41. *LOL!! Nice sets, but the laundry set is priced way too high. I'd love to have it...just not for $12. I love the snow globe and the picture!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I thought Grant said the laundry set was going to be free.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Nope! I never said it would be free, but I understand - you were too distracted by my hotness to really pay attention to what I was saying! Happens all the time. Like ALL the time.

    ReplyDelete
  44. ^I don't believe he ever said the Laundry set was going to be free.

That's a bit unfair to those of us who bought Ambitions if they were to just give laundry away for free. I would guess that any of the gameplay items are never going to be free since people originally paid for them in an expansion pack.

    ReplyDelete
  45. No, really. Didn't he say that?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well, I figured Ambitions was for the job stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well, at least the Christmas tree is free. That's the only thing I'm excited about.

    ReplyDelete
  48. They need to concentrate on fixing LN instead of releasing gobs of pay items IMO

    ReplyDelete
  49. Whoa this is great quality it looks almost as good as TSR stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  50. "EA doesn't even have to make these store objects."

    1) Micropayments for DLC is all the rage these days, they are NOT making it out of the kindness of their heart and put a price tag in order to play the server.

    2) They have to because without a constant influx of content people will get bored and the game dies.

They are not doing as a favor, in fact we had many thing from Maxis before.

Their cost really is off, I give you a simple example ... ME2 DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker is 800 MS/Bioware points that is $10 dollars, now are you going to say that laundry set is more "valuable" that the Lair of the Shadow Broker?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Drama as usual :D

The hair sets (without accessories) look good in game. The poofy hair doesn't have a good screen shot at the store to give a proper presentation for it. That one's my favorite in-game, and my least favorite if you just go by their pictures.

Totally not paying $12 for laundry. I do agree that the Moroccan furniture set is beautiful. I do not like that some pieces have absolutely no environment bonus, though >:|

    ReplyDelete
  52. it's not true that they HAVE to charge so much because people pirate. these sets aren't sold in stores.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Some of the links to get the stuff are up at MATY. No sign of the laundry though, and that's the one I'd really like. Anyone willing to share?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sorry, I souped at MATY.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I agree...I am really wanting the laundry set! Guess I will add it to my wishlist. :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Many of you are whining about pay, no pay, arrr'ing and on and on. I paid for a lot of the stuff and it refuses to download to my launcher. Yes, I was 'honest' but I can't even get to use anything - so stop complaining! At least you have access. For my money all I can enjoy is the orange highlighted 'download again' which is glaringly 'ironic' since it didn't download in the first place or six hundredth time.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Laundry is up on MATY.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Can't find it. Link please.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Well download replies get moved around, it should be moved to "TS3 Store, DOWNLOADS only" tread, if not it should be around in a tread that have the last reply date of today.

    ReplyDelete
  60. people put updates in this thread that are eventually moved to the download thread, so either wait until they're moved or find them when they're posted here

  61. Oh Anonymous with borked launcher ... is your EADownloader up to date? because it seems the Launcher needs it to work with Store items (needs to log to your account).

I noticed the EADownloader was updated twice recently forcing me to reinstall it twice.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anybody know if there are October 1k/2k/4k simpoints bonus at all?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm updated and sometimes it works for little items which fools me to think it's all OK again. I foolishly go for a full set so I don't have to spend ages downloading separately and then nothing. Bought Barnacle Bay when it came out and try to install each day but still can't download. Upset about all the money I've spent with nothing to show and dreading the whole reinstall crap over again and again. Bought LN but waiting it out cause I'm sick of spending more time reinstalling then actually playing. Thanks anyway anon - looks like I'll have to go through the whole reinstall story yet again, even though I'm updated to my eyeballs! I wouldn't have this much trouble if I bought a real washer and dryer!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I bet all yours downloaded in MATY! Is such a big lie that you buy all EA stuffs from the store!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. "Look at that alot of talk about pirating EA sets. I'm reporting these comments now."

I am reporting YOU for pretending to be a lame snitch! :O

    ReplyDelete
  66. So if someone without Ambitions installed that laundry set, laundry would work in-game? I'd buy that only because I don't really want Ambitions and I can't afford it right now anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  67. "So if someone without Ambitions installed that laundry set, laundry would work in-game?"

    Yes.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I have all Store stuff for less ;D

    ReplyDelete
  69. This is nuts. I shouldn't have to pay for any of this crap. I'm kind of a big deal.

    ReplyDelete
  70. That one anon was right, Lotus - just ignore those people who keep complaining. It's your own opinion what you think of the sets and you should stick with it. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  71. 'I bet all yours downloaded in MATY! Is such a big lie that you buy all EA stuffs from the store!!!'

If you are referring to me [the comment above yours] No I don't download from MATY I actually do buy all the stuff from the store. You are totally moronic to even question the validity of someone's honesty. Yes I do have problems with the launcher and EA store bought goods which they have been incapable of fixing - hence my dilemma. I don't need a half wit to irritate me anymore than I already am by my situation. Obviously you get off on provocative comments because what you are saying is pointless and manufactured in your own little mind rather than being based on fact.

    ReplyDelete
  72. FINALLY AN EA CHRISTMAS TREE!
Always need more laundry stuff, and the kids stuff <3

    ReplyDelete
  73. Is there a way to extract the free store meshes to make recolors?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I really need to update my pirated Store folders.

Uh, I mean, "buy this stuff."

    No, wait. The first thing.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I love the person who called pirates thieves, I hope they lose all their money on objects for SIMS. SIMS FFS. Don't spend $12 on a mesh, spend $12 on a charity. Seriously, it's disgusting that people pay for this when other people are in desperate need for money.

    ReplyDelete
  76. "I love the person who called pirates thieves, I hope they lose all their money on objects for SIMS. SIMS FFS. Don't spend $12 on a mesh, spend $12 on a charity. Seriously, it's disgusting that people pay for this when other people are in desperate need for money."

Oh god... you are so right. I just realised how much money I've spent on this whole Sims 3 thing and not the rest of the world. From this day forward I will only spend money on charity in place of computer games and the money sucking campaigns...

    ReplyDelete
  77. ^ ROFL. I'll follow your example, and now contribute to better things of the world, like donating my lifetime savings to a fake charity!

    ReplyDelete
  78. You sicken me even more than overpiced pixels!

    ReplyDelete
  79. But no! In a shocking revelation, I have instead decided to spend my money on Pringles!

    ReplyDelete
  80. You guys can laugh and scorn the people who buy EA stuff all you want, but SOMEONE has to share with MATY...

And if you ask me, paying $12 for the laundry options is much better than paying $40+ for Ambitions, especially if you ONLY want the laundry part.

    ReplyDelete
  81. ^And paying nothing at all is even better.

    ReplyDelete
  82. ^But the point is that SOMEONE has to buy it for you to be able to pay nothing at all.

    ReplyDelete
  83. does the loads of laundry set work w/out Ambitions??? i only have base game and late night

    ReplyDelete
  84. Money sucking games? How is it money sucking for a corporation to make add on's to their product?

I see none of you whiny children have actually ever been in buisness,or have owned a buisness.

    ReplyDelete
  85. "does the loads of laundry set work w/out Ambitions??? i only have base game and late night"

    Yes.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I KNEW what Moroccan set looked familiar!! Wow EA, have some creativity.

But I do love the new hairs with the glam set. =) Much better than the earlier ones.

    ReplyDelete
  87. you can get these store items free from somewhere too? Where exactly? does anyone dare to tell???

since as my opinion it's waste to spend money on pixels when the money can be used on something better... like into that charity everone talks about ;)

    ReplyDelete
  88. "I see none of you whiny children have actually ever been in buisness,or have owned a buisness."

First off, you can't even SPELL business (surely it isn't a "typo" since you spelled it that way both times). So I really doubt you're anything you claim to be yourself.

And I'm positive some of us are NOT "whiny children" who have been involved. But regardless of whether you've ever in business yourself or not, it's a matter of understanding that not EVERY opportunity to make money (especially as much money as possible) is going to be good for business... like in this scenario.

But feel free to take a few business classes and get back to us when you know something.

    ReplyDelete
  89. ^ haha burrrrrnnnnnnnn!!

""I see none of you whiny children have actually ever been in buisness,or have owned a buisness."

First off, you can't even SPELL business"

    I lol'd.

    ReplyDelete
  90. ^^sounds like Katsu has became an anon

    ReplyDelete
  91. 'why do you rude assholes ALWAYS have to point out spelling/grammar flaws?'

well, if you noticed, unlike MATY droids, people here don't automatically correct the grammar of others. its only when people try to claim superiority by giving obnoxious putdowns, like calling everyone 'whiny children', that their enlightened wisdom is placed under scrutiny.
Also, as someone has pointed out, its not about spelling. If you can't even spell business right, how can you claim to know a lot about it?

    ReplyDelete
  92. I NEVER claimed to know anything about business,NEVER,I just thought that it was common knowledge that a corporation is allowed to make a profit.

It was a simple little typo,I reversed the i and s,call the National Guard.

Even if I was claiming to know a lot about buisness(which I never did)it STILL would not mean that I didn't know anything just because of one little spelling gaffe.

I'm just getting sick of these whiny little teenagers on the internet complaining,it seems like everything about The Sims 3 is one complaint after another.

So,once again, rip apart my spelling/grammar etc.,this is a disgusting blog, and The Sims 3 is becoming a disgusting game thanks to all of the bitching.
