Clothing is going to take time because they are full outfits. First, you'd have to remove the shoes from the clothing, then work on it to make sure that it fits the bodies of Sims 3 sims.
People, please stop whining about clothes! It seems that Jeffree Star is working more on object conversions because it is easier for he--hi--..it's easier. If you need clothes NOW and can't patiently wait, then buy your own game and do your own conversions. So fucking rude
When you say clothes in medieval are entire outfits, do you mean the hats/hair dressing too? I was going to take a stab at it myself, but if I can't remove the hats I may wait on that.
Hats come in the hair category. It's that the costumes are full outfits that automatically come with shoes. It's the process of removing the shoe from the outfit to fit into a Sims 3 format. Hope that helps.
^ I know exactly what site you're talking about and they have every right to not allow talk/downloads of it. Omega Star runs a free blog. That site, even though its free, still has to pay for servers, maintenance, etc. A lot more to lose if EA was to shut their site down for breaking their EUA
99% of custom downloads are legal. No one complains about conversions from TS2 to TS3. Yeah this particular post might be a gray area, but just because TSR makes people pay for 90% of their good stuff doesn't make it "more legal" than other content, it just makes it suck.
The chamberpot and the sink is cool, for people that play old worlds at least. Might be nice for a tomb too, to use a pot as a toilet. :)
Also, about the people who were talking about clothing. You can convert the entire outfit and it would work. You just couldn't select shoes because it would look weird ontop of the mesh (unless I'm mistaken). I guess that's okay because footware was rather simple back then.
I'm glad people managed to figure this out even though the biggest sims modding site there is is being all bitchy and stifling all discussion of doing it.
Yeah they pooped in a bucket and then dumped it out into a river. True story. There was indoor "plumbing", that drained out into a river, but only for kings and nobility.
Yeah they pooped in a bucket and then dumped it out into Shivar's mouth. True story. There was indoor "plumbing", that drained out B's bum, but only for me and nobility.
Thanks so much for the chairs and sofas. They look awesome in my modern TS3-villa! So does the sink. And they are very practical in small bathrooms.
If I could humbly wish for future-conversions,I would want the clutter. The plate with the pigs-head actually :) So I hope someone will make that eventually. And the statues are beautiful and could be really awesome in ts3.
Piracy is a crime. Get legal custom downloads at www.thesimsresource.com (much better than this crap)
Hmm... pity it made my game crash some of the stuff from the resource eh
It's not nice to be mean I think it's awesome someone has converted this, besides all the ('good crap') at the resource is pay for which i think is totlally wrong. people pay enough as it is for the games that we have to pay for CC as well...? Doesnt make sence.
Thanks I love this conversion so glad you did it I have the sims medieval game but would love to make medieval simmies in my game.
lol. sitting on the chamber pot.
ReplyDeleteYeah that is funny, but so cool. This stuff will make those that like to make their worlds medieval will enjoy this.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking really promising. Can't wait for some of the clothes to be converted.
ReplyDeletewe need clothing converted!
ReplyDeleteClothing is going to take time because they are full outfits. First, you'd have to remove the shoes from the clothing, then work on it to make sure that it fits the bodies of Sims 3 sims.
ReplyDeleteJeffree Star, thank you so much for converting these objects!
ReplyDeleteInstead of whining for clothing can't you take a moment and appreciate what's given to you? Clothing is going to be pretty annoying.
ReplyDeleteThank you Omega :)
I have one issue with the cesspot. Historically, they were placed underneath chairs, correct?

ReplyDeleteHoping someone converts the statues from Sims Medieval, they are just awesome...
ReplyDeleteI thought it was like illegal by EA to convert from the Sims Medieval to the Sims 3.
ReplyDeleteNot that I have any problem with illegal (well, a few issues with what one would do with a body).
This has been done since stand a lone games were out during Sims 2. They are converting objects from Sims 3 to Sims 2. Nothing new.
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome when people take the time out to do something I can't do, and share it for free! Much appreciated!!
This is awesome. Much thanks to the converter. :)
ReplyDeleteI opened my browser to see if anyone has converted medieval stuff yet, and here we are! I love you!

ReplyDeleteNo, hair is separate from clothing. Clothing in Medieval is just like full outfits on Sims 2, where you had a set top, bottom, and shoes.
ReplyDeletethis made me laugh. i needed that thanks
ReplyDeleteI am really glad to see someone doing this. Some sites are being way too stinky about it.

ReplyDeleteThanks Omega! I'm glad to have more medieval obejects to built MY OWN sims 3 town. Very cool and very clever.

ReplyDelete^So Piracy is illegal, but violating the rules EA put out in regards to custom content being free ONLY is not?

"Piracy is a crime. Get legal custom downloads at www.thesimsresource.com (much better than this crap)"
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary, TS3's EULA allows the redistribution of pay custom content for free, so it doesn't classify as piracy.
Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteAll chairs are done. Updates links in post.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!

when playing medieval I've seen those pots... then one time a npc used it as a toilet!!! I was so shocked but I loved it, made me laugh :D

ReplyDeleteJust cause they banned you more times than you can count Shivar is no need to get your panties in a bunch.
ReplyDeleteI WISH MY TOILET WAS LIKE THAT ONE. JUST A POT ON THE GROUND HEHEHE.
